Maybe Capcom was building houses in Iraq for Saddam Hussein and they’re using this tournament format to cover it up.

And a Wild Muji appears.
Ggs last night Muji. I was mostly watching the set, aside from the few obvious matches I played.
Nope, it’s just a picture of some balls.
Yo who all plays kof other than zane, mando, munch, n juice??
Ggs. That shit broke my spirit, I have no idea how to approach Ryu on the ground with Lili. I wanted to work on my dash cancel offense but getting to that point is the hard part, no idea how to move in past the c.mk and c.mp.
I think you’re too concerned about converting any hit to damage. You have to wiff punish, even if it means just getting a sweep.
I also don’t think you alpha counter enough, most people don’t for some reason. Tootall just kept trolling you with rolento wondering when you would put a stop to the abuse by AC’ing the patriot circle to get him off or to safe tag.
I tried alpha countering throughout the night to varying degrees of success, I need to practice the tming a bit more. With Rolento in particular, it’s a conscious decision to never alpha counter the patriot circle. Of the 3 ranges on the screen he can be at (Full screen throwing knives and hopping everywhere, c.MK range, and jab range) he is most threatening at c.MK range. With my characters, Nina in particular, he’s weakest at jab range because mine is faster. If I’m in his face, my 3 frame jab usually wins out over his 4 frame one, and at that range I can also jump freely on him because it’s too deep for his antiair s.MP to work. So if I’m in and keep pressuring with jabs and throws while staying in with the occasional jump, eventually I can open him up. Getting in is the hard part though, because I have to get through c.MK range to do that. If I let him come at me with a patriot circle, which is -1 on block, he ends up moving into that range for me. I can’t punish it, sure, but if he does anything besides block afterwards my 3 frame jab will hit. And him blocking my 3 frame jab shifts the momentum to me immediately. Alpha countering would push him back and I’d have to get in again, so I wasn’t keen on doing that.
I do agree that I’m trying to convert too much, though, and I’m limiting the buttons I press based on that, particularly with Lili. I’ll look into better ways to use chains and stuff to whiff punish, thanks.
ruben plays it. luey has been playing it. My brother may pick it up. theres a few people from Tuscon who play it as well.
I hope you guys seize the opportunity and try to host more kof13 tourneys to get it going
i’m also learning it, when i have time to sit down and grind training mode.
Cool cause that is the only game I play n I’ve been playing it online waiting for others as well
Im tempted to play but i just don’t like being arround so many mexicans!
I counted about 6-8 different people playing it at some point last night. Overall I think at least 10 people are playing it right now excluding people from neomaxico and random people who don’t come out often (Diante)
It looks promising and last night was really fun while challenging so im gonna keep pushing for this game. Also sorry if it looks like im forcing this game but I really feel like a lot of people are of capcom-only mind when it comes to new games.
Edit:
Also last night guys was one of the best nights for gaming ever, thank you all for bringing set ups and games to play. KOFXIII, UMVC3, AE2012, SFxT, and Melty were all played and on screen at some point and seeing diversity and a huge turnout really makes hosting worthwile
nothing wrong with that. I’m all for kof growing. I just hate the “this game sucks, come play this instead” crap. For all I know, if the scene is big enough for me to justify, I might play. I’m just hesitant cuz I’ve been burned by kof for way too long
Scott sounds like one of those single women on a lifetime movie who just will not give the new, suave, intellectual, yet cocky latino on her floor of the law firm a chance because she’s been left hanging too many times.
Is it possible to have Takuma and Mr Karate on the same team?
This is the greatest comment ive ever read and am now sad that everything after this comment will just be going downhill
I looked it ip, he’s technically EX takuma so nope… just like the other ex characters they replace the guy when selecting characters.
I’m scared of commitments, leave me alone…
/me runs
Damn…youve played KOF at my damned house and I get no mention? pffft
