I was just curious on the opinion of the fellow 3S-loving SRKers.
Yes, I know we have people who just care for the gameplay and will have no problem telling me: “Who gives a fuck about the music, yo? It’s all about dat Chun-Li or Yun.”
However, I’m SURE we have fans of Infinite and Hideki Okugawa… or maybe even Simon Viklund. :looney:
Basically: Do you think 3rd Strike: Online Edition’s OST is ass or legit?
They’re decent on their own. But in game, they just don’t match (except for Elena’s, simply because they got rid of that damn repetitive whatever in my whatever!)
The new 3sOE remixes are way too repetitive, WUBWUBWUB, DURUMDURUM, etc. They sound pretty generic compared to the original arranged soundtracks.
Some remixes are decent, such as Oro, Elena and Remy theme. Ibukis new theme was very nice (its not much different than her original theme IMHO).The other remixes may fit the stage, but not the character. Viklund’s work was much more inspiring as far as Bionic Commando’s music.
In general, the new OST is ok. The original is simply better.
EDIT: Okay, I will admit that I like Urien’s, but only because there are no OG musics. It is kinda repetitive, though. I’d wish that the sound test in the Vault would also include the “Round 2” version of the music.
ANYBODY trying to remix the original OST is fighting a losing battle lol I do like akuam and the twins remixes but i have a lot of bass in my subwoofers so those sound good loud imo
Even the lyrics in Moving On and the original character select screen are too good to remix. They need to get that original team in the studio again
I can’t stand 3S0’s OST. This is why i have the music for CVS2 and all the KOF games from '94-KOF12 on my 360’s hard drive. Makes playing the game that much more pleasurable…
