So I should be happy, not because I lost but because I prevented the better player from doing his combos!
I’ll fight people if I think they provide a unique challenge I want to work on regardless of the level. If I think I’m fighting a (not too predictably) jumpy person I’d want to fight them again if I want to work on AAs, win or lose.
It doesn’t sound like that’s what’s happening to you though.
I usually join the same lobby at least twice, as long as the connection is good. I play a first to 2 set with each new challenger, just because getting a gimmick win, or getting gimmicked out, isn’t really a great learning experience. This goes especially for the ken players who jump around and their only mixup is DP or throw. I get my kicks from beating them.

Eh, usually the most fun I have in Ranked or whatever is if I’m playing someone a lot better than me and I can actually sorta hang with them even if I lose, or just mashing noobs. So I’m ok either way.
The answer is “no”.
I’ve spent the last year playing this game and it’s goddamn near impossible to find an even match. The community is entirely too top heavy. The bulk of the population are veterans who a new player can’t hope to compete with or even really learn anything from fighting.

I’m probably like most looking in this thread, love watching SF on twitch.tv and want to ‘git gud’, am currently getting absolutely and categorically SMASHED by every player online no matter their BP/PP score… i need someone who is REAL BAD (a.k.a never played a fighting game before - like me) to spar with… i can win against SOME characters on Medium AI if that’s any gauge… just trying not to just mash shit out under pressure.
