Are there any real life fights during tournaments?

In my tournament experience no one really fights. They might get a bit salty and shit, but for the most part they’re just tryin’ to have a good time. Even after they start drinking I haven’t seen any real issues, so as far as fights go I don’t think they’re common at all.

Never seen anyone fight at a SF tourney but it dont even need to be a tourney for people to get into it over madden. Another game ive seen like madden is fight night, people think there fucking mike tyson after beating down someone in the game and get proven wrong.

Ive seen guys drinking all night and playing madden, slowly getting more and more heated and it always ends in someone getting trucked in the face.

I talk shit online all the time, it’s all in good fun. I’m home, I’m comfortable, I’m going to let loose. The people who need help are the ones who are actually affected by this and take it personally. Am I going to talk shit at a tournament? No, because there I know everyone who is playing at an offline tourney serious about the game, so I can at least respect their dedication and time they’ve put into the game.

I seen guys get the beatdown from MvC1, and had people push/threaten/run me out of the arcade from MvC1 days. I was like 12 years old and it would be like 10 thuggz 17+ yo. All anyone played in my town was megaman/strider and once I got good at defeating that team i had big problems whenever i played at night.

The only real life death over a video game i know was in russia over lineage 2 to guy from 2 clans in a “war” got in a fight when they were drunk one guy punched the other and he felt bad on the street with his head and died sad story… :frowning:
