Just curious if we were allowed to run paypal tournaments on here? If not mods you can close the thread.
Just thinking about the idea…for mvc2 since I hate ssf4.
I know lag is an issue which is why I was going to set up a regional tournament. Meaning you only play ppl on the same coast as you AND also said person MUST be wired in, no wireless bullshit, but that part depends totally on your opponent being honest since there’s no way to check.
How it would work-
Buy in would be 5, 7, or 10 dollars depending on what players want. Participants MUST have paypal, and will wire me the entry fee before the tournament begins. I will then wire money to 1st(70%), 2nd(20%) and 3rd(10%) place winners. Note that NO money goes to myself, unless I place of course
I am a trustworthy person, I think ppl on psn on the mvc2 scene will vouch for me. But if rokstar wants to run this, he totally can lol the format will be like rokstars tourneys where players are assigned a match and have to agree on a time to play each other in the span of a certain time period.
Matches will be 3 of 5, winner keeps same team same order
Semis and grand finals will be 4 of 7
No glitches except juggy glitch
And please guys check your connection and make sure there is no lag to the best of your ability, but participants should know that there is a risk of lag but I’m doing everything to try minimize that by making it regional and wired in. So don’t bitch about losing your 5 dollars because it should be 5 you’re willing to part with anyways.

I don’t think that would work even if they were in the same state. Can’t factually prove the person doesn’t have a lag switch. And I wouldn’t trust anybody with any financial info it would have to be cold hard cash sittin right next to the person lmao. Good shit though.
Paypal info is just your email address being seen by the receiver, there’s no actual useful info being shared ie. Bank account numbers,dob etc.
I doubt ppl will lag switch on srk, and if someone does do that shit then I’m sure whoever they played will report it and I will deal with it from there. This thing will be based with players with some sort of rep on psn, randoms who ragequit and do stuff not acceptable in the fighting game community will be barred from the tournament, I’m trying to be positive while listing the negative side of this, which is only really lag, but like I said, if your life depends on the 5 bucks, you shouldn’t be spending it on a tournament anyways.
