Are gamers full of negativity? Why are there so many complaints in every game?

It’s because bitching about games is oftentimes more fun than actually playing the games.

I mean, that’s the truth. If it wasn’t the truth, they’d be playing the games instead.

In all seriousness, the good games typically don’t have marketing budgets or brand recognition so they often remain unknown. All the time-tested household name brands and IPs are controlled by megacorps that don’t want mild successes, they want absolute jackpots, so we see all of our favorite games and characters getting loaded down with overpriced DLC (MvCI) sometimes announced before the game has even gone gold (DBFZ), lootboxes in games that by their nature suffer from their inclusion (Shadow of War), pay-to-win mechanics that undermine even the mildest of competitive viability (Battlefront II), and I’m sure dozens of other transgressions, like DLC Matchmaking (Activision) and other bullshit. It’s no longer about what gamers want, it’s about what gamers are willing to pay for.

That said, I think there will be good games out there, simply because a lot of smaller companies and developers don’t have brand recognition to use as a crutch so they actually HAVE to make good games to stand a chance. It’s just, I think more and more you are going to see that only happen with smaller companies, and more and more you’re going to see the household name games become nothing more than vehicles for virtual marketplaces.

As someone that’s played a lot of ranked games like WoW arenas, LoL, Overwatch etc.

The people that get past the tilt and the complaints are often high ranked players in any game they get on.

I’ve got a friend who used to play for Quantic Gaming and I’ve played with him in games he’s new at and he’s ass at first. He doesn’t stay ass though as he knows how to learn and improve and not bitch constantly.

It’s just too hard a pill to swallow for some people that they might be the reason they’re struggling

Stop being a corporate shill maybe OP?

The basic bitch group.

Think you got your answer

I don’t even know what Po (or a lot of Mega Man fanatics) want anymore. You want the actual Mega Man back? Cool, here’s X and Sigma in prominent main event roles in MVCI. That’s not good enough, X is too limited (WTF are some people expecting, Robot Dante?). You want a new Mega Man game? Cool, he’s coming back next year along with a new TV series. That’s not good enough, his face is weird (have you seen him in Sm4sh? He looks even weirder there). Capcom even released a classic style Street Fighter x Mega Man FOR FREE after paying off a fan to give them the rights to the fan game he made rather than issue a cease-and-desist like so many other companies to fan projects. Nope, that’s not good enough either.

I just want Legends and Battle Network back. Honestly the best Megaman ever was imo.

I’m not trying to be that label or taking sides. Complaints, concerns, and criticism is good and has always been beneficial for any type of business. It’s the excessive grumbling, whining, wailing, sorrowing over spilled milk that people have a lot of time for is what I don’t understand.

Well, luckily you have a thread full of good (and not so good) responses, so now you do understand.

Valid complaints are not entitlements tbh. Like a broken net code for a fighting game that has no little to no modes, cutting your roster in half in favor of dlc or a game breaking glitch that never gets patched.

Those who dont buy the game at launch dont get the dlc for free.

I never understood why people are so passionate about shit that doesn’t even appeal to them. Someone care to explain? because, I mean, if I see anything (just in general) that doesn’t interest me I just… look the other way.

Right, this is the problem I see with a load of people that I can only describe as anti capcom. They are impossible to make happy, and why should capcom invest tons and tons of money on something impossible.

Don’t get me wrong, there is some actual good criticism, but it is drowned out by all the nonsense.

Worst part is that a huge fraction of those players won’t move on to something else despite that very action being a threat… I’m still waiting to play on Xrd rev 2 and Kof14.

If the game doesn’t suit your tastes, skip it.
[Any sf game after ultra]
Mvci was the best mvc I’ve touched so far so all is well.

I’m sorry to say that we have a generation of pussies out here among the FGC. Every single fighter out there has flaws and strong points, some more than others. I’m not sure why Capcom has become the target of so much hatred but I feel for them. Capcom has become the scape goat, so much as others games are getting passes on the same flaws that people castrate Capcom over. For example, Tekken 7’s large amount of input delay (especially PS4 version). Remember when SFV had all of that input delay, before Capcom addressed it? Got there asses handed to em by the FGC. BN hasn’t addressed input delay or it’s ridiculous load times but they aren’t getting any shit from the community. Capcom get’s flamed for dlc and season passes and what have you. It’s the same shit that every other company does, but nobody get’s the rod like Capcom does. All I’m saying is share the hatred. Don’t torch Capcom for doing what every other publisher is doing. I’m not saying we should have low expectations, all I’m saying is share the hatred. Oh, and if you think I’m extra with the “pussies out here among the FGC,” just remember my post when you come across one of em in a casual match. It will be the one that wins the 1st out of 3, but will terminate the set and run with their 1 win LOL.

I promise you people will find something to bitch about come Jan or Feb. Whenever the damn game comes out.

@“po pimpus”
(for when he gets back)

LOL. That is if Po comes back.

I am travelling to namek as we speak to revive him again.

Can’t, it’s a fixed moment in time.
Not even Dr Who can help Po.
