so i just beat hard with mika, took me 4 tries, kept getting high 30s/low 40s. The ditz computer is never a problem. you can beat it with really basic jump in combos. The computer is also very “reaction” based. The harder computer wants you to push a button so it can punish it. It seems to struggle figuring out how to beat her Vskill however. it will jump around in place and wait for you to do something while you charge vskill. When it finally does attack most the time it is just a jump in single hit that your armor will absorb. You can then throw them, get huge damage and start charging it again. Against the high end vega, and bisons I just spammed her wingless airplane anti air grab. The hard computer LOVES jumping.
Careful with the vskill thing against other mika/gief however, the computer will do empty jump command grabs. On my successful run I got lucky and the grappler AI was really easy. I also used the matchmaking exploit to retry matches I was taking too much damage on.
Sadly, it’s the ps4 I’d like this for… My plan is to bring my ps4 anywhere to show off / share the game with people, and leave my pc at home.
I think Capcom really needs to re-consider how colors are unlocked now, as I feel this is one of the important features for tournament play. While they may have said they have “consideration for tournament play” I’m meaning also when I bring my ps4 to a local convention, or to a bar for a fight night. Local stuff that capcom likely wouldn’t endorse.
No one wants to see the same 2 colors over and over again when they’re already just spectating -_-
Heh, ya’ll are complaining about hard / hell modes and my scrubby behind just failed out on the last round of freaking normal mode. I get the complaints so much more now. That took way, way too long to get to level thirty and up until that final match with Bison there was no challenge at all. I’m a dude with limited gaming time, and there is just know way that I’m going to toss that time at this annoying mode as opposed to playing online.
Beat normal with Ryu so I could have a few colors, but I’ll probably never do it again. The mode is idiotic. Every single thing about it screams “We took 5 minutes to build this garbage because we had too”.
I basically just use the mode as training mode now. I sit in it and practice combos on the AI while waiting for matchmaking. And every now and then I unlock colors for whatever character im messing around with at the time.
What’s weird is that I played both Easy and Normal just playing as I normally would and Survival was fairly painless. Now that I’m actually putting in effort on Hard mode. It’s actually quite difficult.
Tried to run it back to unlock the Alt outfit colors on hard. Beat Bison level 49 with no health left (started with full health btw). What does the RNG give me for the final match?
