while waiting for these bugs to get fixed i have finished surivial easy mode on every single character so far, for normal i only completed ryu and ken so far. i guess i’ll do all of normal -_-
PS. if you want fight money this is a hell if a good way to do it i have 300k earned so far
level 50 necalli just sent me back to level 1. fuck this shit, never again lol. if the capcops try to make it so you have to use real money to unlock them i’m literally going to send a piece of poop in the mail to capcom hq.
Grinding for characters isn’t an issue, colors should’ve been FM too. Stupidest idea ever.
As much FM you get doing survival. You do all the easy and a few normals you automatically get 2 free dlc characters after a couple hours.
And that’s from leveling up you get permenent FM from leveling up but still…
I only did easy with mika but I assume she’d be the easiest to abuse with her wakeup command grabbing shennainegans.
I’m probably gonna grind the bullshit characters and do the easiest familiar ones last.
I guess what bothers me the most is that I paid 30 bucks for the season pass. I don’t have time to grind with work and all, if I have the option of Survival and versus against a human opponent I’m always going versus. You would think for that price you would get all the colors, battle costumes, and characters. Or minimally like a season pass color…same goes for people that plunked down a hundo for the collector’s edition. Kind of sucks that the battle costumes are exclusive pre-orders for the time being. That being said, I don’t want to buy my success or have options other people don’t have IE Street Fighter vs. Tekken crap. I just want my moneys worth, and want whatever little free time I have focused on being better at this game competitively not grinding versus the CPU.
P.S. - I also hope they have the option of just buying colors and costumes via the shop and not making it an exclusive survival mode thing. That would suck.
I’d like to spend my time playing in training or against real people, not fighting an r.mika AI who whiff punishes my s.HP with a max range command grab by grabbing my hurtbox before it retracts. Aka, something no player is going to do unless they’re playing gief.
Capcom didn’t promise all colours would be unlocked for those who bought the Season Pass or Collector’s Edition.
Unlocking the colours is only a grind if you make it one. Just give it a shot once in a while. You can even adjust your battle settings to Ranked Matches: On, Casual Matches: On, Battle Confirmation: Ask.
Did the shoryuken abuse stuff because I was pissed. I am not doing this shit with multiple characters or even multiple times with Ken.
For Cammy and Laura (who were my death most of the time) I figured that if you mostly crouch block and sweep when they get close they just take it. Seems to work on Zangief too but I didn’t have problems with him. Be careful at later levels they sometimes throw a poke out.
Bison is also a fucking pain in the ass. Lost to him stage 49, 3 times. Also as said above, random life boost made me want to kill myself.
yeah that’s the thing. it’s more like 150+ fights to unlock hard colors because you’re most likely not going to beat it the first time. if the AI was actually interesting like in previous SF games or better yet, like real opponents, then this wouldn’t be so bad even if you lose. the AI is badly designed right now.
Why are you defending something that the vast majority of players, both casual and hardcore, agree is bullshit? People want their colors. They want them now. They, understandably, expected them to be available from the get go. I don’t want to grind for colors, but I also don’t want to just not use the color for Laura that I want, so I don’t exactly have much say in the matter.
I agree & disagree with parts of your reply. I completely agree that people want the variety of their colors, and yes they want them “now.” However, the part I disagree with is that [we] expected them to be available from the get go.
I don’t believe any of us are opposed to earning/unlocking colors at all. However, only allowing them to be earned in Survival mode is the ridiculous part. It’s challenging yes, but it is mind numbingly boring, and stupid difficult. Not to mention, the stressful feeling of the possibility of being disconnected from the server when you’ve won over 15, 20, 25 matches, then having to start all over again…no…eff-ing…way!
Again, if they are gonna keep it to Survival, then fine. But we need to be allowed to save between rounds, to continue, or use the battle points we earn to allow us to save or “buy” a certain amount of continues instead of buying “low health”, “defense boost”, “damage increase”, etc.
