ArcEye 2 LEDs - The Ultimate LED button mod!

ok, so with LEDs plugged into sparky, but buttons from QD not plugged into sparky, there are no button press issues?
but it happens as soon as you plug in the wires you soldered to the QD terminal?

yes (and happened if i had wires plugged in to sparky and linked them with the quick disconnects without soldering as well)
if i remove one wire coming from pcb to the sparky in those combos (ie LK but leave PPP etc) then the other works fine, its when they are in at the same time that there is an imput prob.

I came, I saw, I came again. Now this is what I’ve been looking for!!! Looks like I’ve gotta order a new stick to play with!! Since I only saw the pics and a few scattered youtube posts throughout the thread (I skipped the tech talk part.) I must know. Where can I get a controller fully assembled? If not that, I’ll learn the ways of power so that I may buy the parts to assemble my own. btw, I’ll be posting this thread in the shooters thread. I just KNOW I’m not the only one who wants more lights while getting shot. If I simply missed the link to a website selling these, please help me to see the lights. Also, if anyone knows of a place where I can get a keyboard whose keys light up when pressed, I’ll be So damn happy I just might not sell the neighbor’s dog to a random evil entity.

be careful, if those are the sanwa obsc’s that i’m thinking they are, there is a clearance issue with the LED’s. you’re going to have to mill out some of the plunger before you insert the arc eye

I definitely need to order some of the ArcEyes.

I am wondering though, did you have anything to do with the Midi Fighter 3d? this video says “introducing the world’s first RGB arcade buttons with customizable color rings.”

I’m curious on what the Midi Fighter uses to light up their buttons considering they use Sanwa parts.

I want this stick!!! Somebody’s dog is on the line!! LINK ME!!!

hey guys, I’m hooking these up to a FGW LED controller, I’ve got them all hooked together button to button, except the first/last, what do I do with it and the extra long harness? Can I just ignore it or do I have to wire it to something?

Goes to LED Controller.

one connects to the long rgb cable… this one connects to the controller… the other is empty (nothing plugs into it)… reds, greens, blues, are all connected together so it doesnt matter which is empty and which you plug the long one into

No i had nothing to do with it. I’m aware of his midi devices and its very cool, but I’m not sure about his claim to be the very first programmable one… I made arc eye 1 about 2 years ago, and 32teeth made the first sparky shortly after that… hes got his own controller board in there with a tilt sensor, but led controllers based on pulse width modulation and such have been out for a long time now…

almost done modding my left over buttons and may need to order up to make sure i have enough for the buttons i plan to use for my project this time lol.

Whenever you’re ready =D

You’re all too late. Augie-wan dogie…Has been sold. I got hungry for that raisin’ canes and poochie wasn’t doing nothing for me. I hope you’re all happy with yourselves.

J/J. I’m still pretty hyped for the stick, but the money ain’t here right now. I’ll wait to get one for the PS3.

How exactly did you mod the plunger? Pics would be nice. Im really curious about lighting up my sanwa clears.

what you do is cut or trim the four columns then you notch the backside of the two picks (whatever they are called) to allow clearance with the AE2

check out my vid.

Thanks so much!

NP bud. glad to help and happy modding. just be careful. i know these sanwas are made with a different plastic than the solid color button with clear rings. its a mix of cutting and melting of plastic, unless u have a laser cutter or something. always cut less and work your way up but shaving and not cutting so you dont cut/melt too much from your initial cut.

ladies and gents, AE2 is sold out! Someone just cleaned me out… lol…

Phreakazoid still has a small amount of stock left, as does Bencao74 (for Europe)…

Phreakazoid will only sell them pins unassembled (because he has no time)… PM them if interested…

Does that mean we’re moving on to AE3?

I wont be involved in manufacturing or selling LED stuff anymore… thats it for me…
Its still way too soon to say anything, but AE will live on in some form or another down the road…
