How would I hook up the sparky directly to usb? And I have a mc chutlu should I just use that instead?

I mean power it from a USB connection so that you get a solid ~5v from VCC. If you have an MC Cthulu you could hook that up and then use the VCC screw terminal to power Sparky (USB -> MC -> VCC screw terminal to + screw terminal on Sparky -> sparky powers AE2’s).
i haven’t updated the assembly instructions for the PWM, but the idea is the same

no worries. i am modding this mvc3 stick with a toodles chimp(might or might not record since these installs are straight forward) tonight and hope to have everything prepped for tomorrow which i will video arceye install and sparky install. not in great detail but enough to be a visual guide for those following your videos or written notes. thanks guys
I have it hooked up to an MCC but still nothing. I’m not sure what the problem is. When I plug it into the computer the 3Ks light up red, ylw, grn, wht. Then turn off. If I press the 1P it’ll light up and then stay lit OR if I press any other buttons the 3Ks’ll light up again and go through the progression of colors. Then It’ll totally not light up again.
I have the stick hooked up where I have the button leads to a terminal block. Then I took two wires and “tinned” the ends and inserted them into their coresponding button in the terminal block. One wire goes to the MCC and the other to the Sparky. The buttons have a ground, Sparky has a ground and the Joystick has a ground. The Sparky is plugged into the VCC of the MCC. I can play any game with it - all the buttons work perfectly and allows for multiple buttons pressed at the same time (i.e. MvC3 X-Factor :wgrin:)
Also I am only getting COM3 in the configuator - no matter what usb port its plugged into. With no change with the schemas nor do the buttons light up. And for that my PC is running windows 7.

OK Audio sync issues have been fixed… I was finally able to re-upload the first video with step 1

finished my video. just editing it a bit. its a overview of the install. from start to finish. not so much in detail as yours. first film, so cam quality sucked as my placement of the camera. dunno who you and others do it lol. my tripod sucks lol. here is a sneek peek. Sadly, i did not listen to purple arms with the zip tie of the rgb wires…i regretted it since i had to re-mount my zip tie. i got it to close but hard…and also had some extra wire on the sparky as you see in the corner…not so clean…i should of measured better and/or just used wire cover sleeves. owell. it turned out nice.
I have to re-flash or code my sparky after messing around with it. I screwed up the intro light up -sighs-
I use a gorilla pod to mount my camera onto a desk lamp… ghetto fabulous… lol
And on that note, video #2 with steps 2-4 is currently being uploaded… fingers crossed that it wont fail…
As for the wires, it is plug and play, so you can still clean it up and zip tie it down… that will be covered in video #3
true. mine wont be up until tomorrow. i have to edit it all up since its sooooo great…-sarcasm- i have to put some music and do some editing and text in there. i started early in the morning, taking breaks, doing laudry, running, and errands…but with all the time in it was about a 2hr process when everything is prepped and your not being slow like me lol

I am wondering if I have it hooked up incorrectly. I attached a pic of my hook up. HORRIBLY drawn in paint but the best I can do at work right now. But it shows essentially how I hooked my stick up but for some reason neither of the sparkys I bought are working. Would appreciate some help b/c 32 is very busy right now and most likely isn’t going to respond to any emails and the like - which I understand. So thanks in advance to any and all who are able to help me.
do you have the sparky jr or sparky pvm. if its the pvm, just make sure you use the terminal on the button input side marked + and -. And with your MC which console have you tried this on?
