ArcEye 2 LEDs - The Ultimate LED button mod!

I was just looking in getting some Arc-Eyes too until I saw this… I will wait for more info…

Thanks for the link… I’ll have to take a closer look when i get home (pictures are blocked at work), but its a third party product… it might be doable if i cooperate with the makers of that button AND there is enough public interest (aka if enough people can convince me) because its just not economically viable if only a small number of people want it (there are already LED products for it?)

And just so you guys know, I took a loss making Arc Eye v1. I’m not really in this for money.

what will be the difference between the v1 and v2?

I’m not ready to reveal details about the new Arc Eye just yet

Think you’ll be able to get a reseller in the US this time around?

Yup. No worries about that

Whoo! :lovin: I’m going to get many more.

It’s funny quite a few people are like ‘I want the new ones, forget the old ones!’ Pretty sure Ver 1.0 will do just fine for most needs. Paired with Sparky Jr and they’ll do even more

i have made my prediction about the arcs 2.0 in the sparky thread  i have 14 arcs for my current project and i still very looking forward to the 2.0s since nothing is ever set in stone…especially considering sparky pwm and that connector board…the trilogy of these might possibly make my life much much easier  can always take my arcs 1.2s and use those for taking the sucks of out of my xarcade

I’ve bought into the Rollie Pearls. They work well with LED mods and. . . .with a little glue, work fine with your Arc-eye v1 board too. That’s what I’m working on currently anyway. Loose around the sanwa switch, but workable with glue. Send me an email if you want pics.

^^^^ might be nice if you shared with all of us so we could all benefit

Here it is broken down. I have the Arc Eye in the white pearl Rollie and it sits nicely.

The Sanwa switches don’t have a lip around the plunger, so there’s nothing to hold the Arc Eye v1 in place, something sticky should hold it down. You don’t have to drill the button casing either, as there is more than enough room to run wires out the side. Other than that, It fit’s perfectly.

I haven’t seen it lit up though, still working on it.

(Sorry about the low quality photo. Wife’s still sleeping and I can’t find the camera.)

thanx for sharing! the pic is fine. oh damn now decisions decisions lol

Hmm… might not be compatible with arceye2 lol… but Arceye1 will still be available… also, the new arceye2 will not support snap in ps-14-k buttons… Arceye1 will retain compatibility for that… contact Gummowned (americas) or Bencao74 (europe/asia) for arceye1

Prototypes are in the mail to me now. I hope to have something special to show by the end of next week =D

Sounds like these are Seimitsu only. Interesting, especially if they are designed not to need to modify the buttons (not that it was a big deal with AE v.1)

Either way, I eagerly await version 2. Thanks for your hard work Purplearms, keep it up.

Nice work on the previous stick. Good luck with the new one. I pm Gummowned for the Arc-Eye V1 but he is not selling it anymore and only offer it as led modding service. Is there a way I can get my hands on it from anyone else in America? I need the v1 since I read from previous post that you think the v2 will not work for the Rollie button. If it does I’m so waiting for the v2!

spenz I dunno how you always have so many projects! lol I’ve been waiting since last April just to get a dang blank case.

Oh well. Now I have to decide to wait to see what v2 brings or get some V1’s in time for MvC3!!

I’m wondering what those white pearls look like with a color besides white under em. (I always wonder if colored lights + white buttons or white lights with colored buttons are better.) Rollie’s would be sweet, but so far it seems like the color options are just a bit limited.

Thanks… well, if there is enough demand, i can do a small v1 run… bencao74 has v1 stock…
I think I will have unpopulated v2 boards available for special cases, such as 3.7v application etc…
