Can I get one now so I can finish most of my stick build prior to ae 2.0’s release?
I’m talking about IF, hypothetically, I were not using Teasy, I would only have to solder to the 5V part on the PCB, right? (the rest of the install could be “sandwiched” together)
Here is a pic:

Would I need to solder to the D-, D+, GND and SGND as well?
Even though I’m using a Teasy Strike for my first install… I would like to learn how to solder eventually and use that knowledge to mod other sticks in the future.
Those are pics of prototypes. I have just placed the order for the final ones and they should be in my hands by next Monday. And arceye is not too far behind that. The hole drilling is a quick process. under 10 mins. You can prepare ahead of that by unplugging your cable harness and removing all the button caps (but not the microswitches). I’ll update the instructions in post #2 with this step during this week sometime.
i cant afford anymore right now LOL. maybe later though XP but then the pre-order period will most likely be over
umm… if youre not doing a dual mod, then you only need to solder power… and a better place to tap into that is off the pcb attached to the turbo panel… one of those is labeled vcc… you can hijack the rest of the wires onto the quick disconnects including ground…
you can ignore sgnd… gnd is also available where vcc is too
@purplearms is right about the turbo panel.
additionally, since it looks like you already have your USB cable ripped out. you can solder a female header to the USB and a male header to the USB cable. that way you have a quick disconnect USB. i have that in some of my projects, makes it easier to pull things apart.
Woot! they are so close i can almost taste em… not that id do that… i swear
Shit damn hell, I’m late to the party but purplearms I just sent you a “gift.” :woot:
If you still have these in a month or 2 ill be ordering another set. Building a Vampire Saviour Stick for my brother
Thanks.
Cool, thanks!
And nah, that’s not my PCB… I just found an image of one
And damn those eyes look pretty! Very clean design.
I just sent you the pre-order. =)
Congrats! They are so cool
It’s a pity I have enough Arc Eye 1s
can i trade in my purple arceyes?
nice work!!!
Good stuff, these turned out really really nice.
Also, they’re brighter than all hell too . Turned one on full force out in the open and needed to shield my eyes.
I was just wondering if you were gonna show how to connect arc eye 2 to sparky pwm with headers or with screw terminals or both?
Yes… Just keep an eye on post #2 where the install instructions will be… I will be updating them over the next few weeks.
Pre-ordered
you will be able to order either, both, or none in the short future.
if your need is immediate and your Sparky has Screw Terminals you can always just strip one end of the connector that @purplearms is selling for the ArcEye and screw them down. Still PnP
