ArcEye 2 LEDs - The Ultimate LED button mod!

How exactly would you hook this up to a Cthulu or preferable to a PS360?

Depends on how you want the lights to react. Post what you want the lights to do and someone will tell you how to get-r-done

You need a sparky PWM… you just connect a wire from the screw terminal on sparky to the screw terminal on ps360 or cthulu for punches, kicks, ground, power…

Also, once i get the LEDs i need to hand solder the pins before shipping out, which i will be doing for pre-orders first… factory assembly of the pin headers would have added $1.50 to each board =D

Can I preorder?

Yes… i was accepting preoders with 50% minimum downpayment, but i’ve got a bunch of orders in already and most people just pay full amount upfront, so taking half payment is just one more detail i dont want to have to track… so i’m going to require full payment for pre-orders now…

it should be ready to ship to me from the factory in about 2 weeks!

i need to order another ftdi programmer cable too. sadly i lost mine again. owell. i will get another one from sparkfun. then when i get it, my old one will turn up XP

its been a minute since ive posted, been busy with many things…but just wanted to stop by and say hey

purps, thanx for inviting to that endless that evening, unfortunately i was blazed out my face, and didnt have a lot of time. i purposely didnt use my blanka against you, because i kno of how you hate him so lol. your peep’s sim, shut down my blanka hard tho, and now im afraid you got a couple bright ideas lol. still working on c to shining see c, just been mad busy but i want to finish it before mk9

ok now back on topic slightly. so i finally got my battery from sparkfun, and just like you said it measured 3.9 volts right out of the box. big difference resistor wise from 3.7v where forward voltage is concerned, so im glad i waited some. i got my 0805 led varieties in today, and my jlf the other day. i have nailed down the resistors i am going to use for those leds that i ordered, i just need to place the order with digikey. i have all my soldering supplies in already. as soon as the resistors get here i can commence testing my custom (3x0805 [R,G,uV]) x2 arc-eye setup. depending on how that works out, will dictate how i move forward with arc-eye2. i hoping it works because i have enough leds to do my 14 ae1s and prolly another 14 of ae2s.

slowly but surely step by step, i hope to have my custom done by new years  hows your project sim coming along?

Lol… you were facing a top level viper who’s 5600pp+ level on psn… he just has 3000pp on xbox for the time being

Look forward to seeing it! I’ve outsourced the wood box to voltech to save me some time. Gonna change the sim art a little bit… but right now that project is moving forward slowly as i concentrate on arceye2’s upcoming release…

An update for those who are lurking around… i’m tweaking the design of the plexi template… its universal to semitsu (screw in and plug in) and sanwas…

Two quick questions.

  1. Does anyone have photos of a 360 TE with an MCCthulu, IMP, and Sparky Jr PWM all crammed inside? I’d like to pre-order a set of ArcEye 2s and make this mod happen, but I’m slightly concerned about mounting all these components into the TE case in an efficient and clean manner.

  2. I plan on adding an FTDI Basic Breakout board to the Sparky so I have the flexibility to configure it in the future, but I’m wondering what default schema I should go with. Are any more common than others? What do you get if you don’t choose any schema at all?

Thanks very much for you help.

@TheEggplantWizard

  1. Not that i know of to date

  2. perhaps this question is better asked in the sparky thread…

did you tell him i was going to pick blanka lol

hey wait did you just sneak in there that ae2s will be sanwa compatible? thas very interesting as many people have asked about it in the past, good shit, you sneaky you

allow to me ask a dumb question, looking at the back of semi screw in microswtich how do it orientate to tell the + and - ? i have no indication of whats power or ground…

how long we got to preorder a set? ( looking to get 8! ) just want to see if i have to spring for em now or if i can wait till my next paycheck lol.

emailed again sir

Lol I don’t recall… ultimately i don’t think it matters to him! His viper went like 300-2 vs me :open_mouth:

I personally think its not ideal to put these in sanwas or semitsu snap ins. But it is certainly possible with some double stick tape. So i figured i’ll make an all-in-one template that will work with any semitsu or sanwa 30mm button.

You mean on the switch itself with the two quick disconnect terminals? It literally just makes a connection between the two terminals when you press the button, so there is no specific + or - (just pick any terminal)

I’ll take em right up until i have them in my hand. The advantage of pre-ordering being that I will solder/assemble the header pins and ship them out in the order that i’ve received the pre-orders in. The boards are manufactured now and should be populated with the resistors/LEDs this week. Fingers crossed that they will be in the mail to me by end of this week!!!

on that note Purplearms, i just sent you a “gift”

yes thas exactly it. ok so the terminal orientation doesnt matter, that helps

Any wway we could know what order we are in :stuck_out_tongue:
