The stupidest thing is selling out wouldn’t even work in the first place, it’s a niche game in a niche genre already, unless they literally buy the rights to call it Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter or Tekken it’s never going to sell gangbusters, no matter how much they sell out.

Arcana Heart graphics aren’t bad, but they aren’t impressive compared to most anime FGs either

Arcana Heart faces the hurdle of having an all-female cast.
Even if the game is objectively the greatest fighting game in the world, it will always remain a niche title as long as they embrace that aspect.
Which is fine, Arcana Heart has such a reputation that it doesn’t matter what they do they will always be a niche title, so they should just embrace that and pander the shit out of that niche.
I dunno, make a huge fully voiced convoluted Visual Novel-esque story mode about your characters.

Arcana Heart’s already got a sizeable audience in Japan, and it’s not like it’s ever gonna be a forefront game in the US (regardless of Japanese popularity) so they should just go in the same overall direction they’ve been going and make whatever improvements they can in that area. They’ll get the east and then the small, dedicated base in the west. Trying to cater to casual FG players who probably won’t play the game anyway may be harmful.
Arcana Heart mechanics are dope so I’m looking forward to it.
