It matters not. I hadn’t intended to bring it up again, since I personally couldn’t care less and I am aware that most of you are saying this in jest or towards the company. Merely saying how some newer people could have interpreted it.
Anyway…so, Chain Girl (still) sucks? Why is this? The range on her j.C or whatever looks stupid, but I’m guessing she just has nothing else besides ungodly range? I remember someone showing that at least one of her supers was unsafe even if it hit…
Picked up AH2 for dirt cheap a few days ago because I heard that pcsx2 runs it flawlessly as opposed to the ps2. Gotta get that practice in before it drops yo.
Other than commiting the character moves to memory it won’t be that much help. The system in AH3 is fairly different. Not that much different but it’s there. Hopefully, you will transition well to the speed crack that is AH3. The previous games run like molasses compared to it. lol
No, she’s a solid mid tier. Every character in this game is viable for tournament play. Also “still”? No, this is her debut game, so I don’t see why she would “still” suck. Scharlachrot isn’t bad at all. With the right arcana she can get some nasty hit confirms off of those ranges. Like with earth. j.6C (the long air horizontal chain move) into earth super does quite a lot. Or you can do j.6C j.236E 5D air combo into j.E j.623E for about 7k damage + projectile oki.
Plant Scharlachrot is just disgusting. Combos into her Critical Heart for about 12k against Mei Fang in this video ???10???(9)
She’s not bad, just not as good as other characters like Catherine, Akane, or Elsa. Plant Scharlachrot can keep people away just about forever. She can hit confirm off of an almost max range 5C into 236E. from there she has two options. unblockable setup or max damage. Max damage (5C 236E 5A 5E 236E 5B 623E 5D j.B j.C dj.A j.B j.C j.6B) did 8.8k to Mei Fang at low HP and counter hit. The unblockable setup is 5C 236E 5B j.A j.B j.E (land) high jump j.A j.B j.C j.6B dj.E 214214E. Since the seeds hit low, she falls down with a j.6C (it isn’t overhead, but pushes them into another seed) and then homings in with j.A (overhead) while the seed hits from the bottom. Guard cancels can also be punished, but you have to more-or-less guess so this setup isn’t as strong as say, Luck Elsa’s unblockable setup.
Scharlachrot also has one of the best anti-airs (though it is blockable) 5B and 2B are ridiculous. It keeps people out, she doesn’t extend her hit box. If someone guard cancels she can react and punish a forward guard cancel. 2B sends a chain up which can help with those annoying crossups that Kira can do by swimming down left and right for a j.E crossup.
Though really. I wouldn’t call too many of the characters ass. Especially since all of them are viable at top level play (see SBO qualifiers, even though Clarice and Lilica haven’t made it in the jp qualifiers, they’re still known to be better characters than say Fiona or Kira.)
But yeah, Scharlachrot’s Omega Destroyer move is complete ass.
Well, the problem with previous scenes is that it is based around a much higher investment and geographic location. Not so this time. If online play works well and we can easily import the game from Japan. You might find it easier to keep a scene going.
This adds to the balance imo. When everyone dies in 2-3 mistakes, it doesn’t matter who you play; you fuck up, you die. When it takes 5-6 of them to kill you, the effect of the better characters being safer is far more pronounced.
That said, all you bitches are gonna be like “WTF I thought Kira was low tier” after you play me. Bet it.
Lol, Accent Core. As long as everyone does relatively similar damage, then there’s less a danger of people getting left behind like Johnny, Bridget, Anji and I-no or having stupid comeback ability like Potemkin. (And the fact there’s thankfully no twin-girl character, no real chance of anyone turning into Eddie.)
I have to wonder if any of the Arcana will end up being unused, though. I noticed in the batch of videos that was posted like a month ago that no one used Earth, even though that’s strongest one in terms of raw damage. I don’t think Mirror’s chances are good either…
I meant “still” with regards to her from the time that she was first unlocked in AH3 until know because I remember people in the last thread saying how disappointing she was since she was a boss character or something along those lines.
Even if she was dead last, I don’t really care about tiers, so I end up having an inclination to “main” her, I would have done so anyway. As it stands now, though, she’s pretty much dead last in terms of characters I’m interested in, being only above Eko and Catherine.
Though she doesn’t look anywhere as effective as eddie.
And while johnny and bridget may not have been the best characters in the game at least they have still have the tools to win. It speaks volumes that a team of johnny, bridget and zappa made it to the SBO finals last year.
I got an ex-board a while back, and now reading this really scared me. Seriously, how unreliable is the board and what’s the chance of it failing before the port drops.
Yeah, that looks…entertaining. Still, her AA is air blockable, and I have no problems doing nothing for 70% of a match until I can hit her. I heard the same things regarding Kira’s matchups in AHF, and there wasn’t a single one that I didn’t feel like I could win. Just gotta work a little harder.
After going through some more videos on Koyori’s channel, I liked how Nazuna did. That long staff seemed to really dominate the field. How does she fair in 3?
I haven’t touched arcana in over a year so i’m not sure if they changed earth in AH3 but it was always one of the least used arcana in the other games because it changes your dash and not because its not good, its just a bad fit for some characters. At least in previous games earth did husky things as long as you didn’t need your ground homing dash for combos, but if you do it can become a liability.
