I am staying in Tokyo for a month, and would like to know the arcades at which the pros play and practice. I have been visiting Shinjuku s and Akiba s in hope to find them, but alas…
The posts I have found in this forum are old, and because of that I ve been to the Big Box next to Takadanobaba st, and it only has 6 SSFIVAE machines now. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as seeing any pro play would make my trip much better!
as far as i know, taito station in shinjuku and the sega arcade in akihabara have many top level players play there.
they normally go there after work and in the weekends… at least this is how it was when i was there last year.
I go to Shinjuku SE every Wednesday/Friday and there’s always a known face in there. Try and go later bewteen 7-10 and you’ll run into one!
SE as in South East part of Shinjuku or SEGA? I m thinking it s the Taito station?
Yeah Taito Station, right outside the SE exit! 
There is only shinjuku taito station to go to now.
