I just got the HORI Fighting Stick VX today.
I ordered it brand new off of Amazon.
I took it out of the packaging and connected it to my Xbox 360.
My 360 was off. I pressed the “home” button on the stick and the 360 turned on.
I moved the stick and pressed buttons to see if it was connected, but it didn’t sync up with my 360 for some reason.
The “home” button on the arcade stick keeps flashing, without registering a player position (1, 2, 3, or 4).
Is there something I need to do on the 360 to configure the stick, or is the stick possibly deffective?
Unplug and plug back in. It should work after that. Mainly, plug in your arcade stick after your xbox is turned on. That way it has a true sync to the console, also all of your buttons will work properly. Sometimes on my TE, the Triggers or bumpers won’t work. It works after I unplug it and plug it back in.
Sounds like a bad PCB or bad USB connection, both are fixable, but it really would be best to contact Amazon for a return. It may take a while, but it’d honestly be cheapest, considering getting someone to fix a USB or replace the PCB is a bit expensive.
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if you can’t just plug-and-play it when it’s brand new, the best fix is just to get in on a warranty or a return policy and get a working one.
