I am gonna mod my SE soon, and I was thinking of putting a black ball top, 6 black/white buttons, and 2 black/grey (for PPP and KKK). All of them would be Sanwa, the stick too. But I was thinking maybe I could get colorful buttons…so this leads me to my question:
What colors can I buy to make it look good (and in what order, eg. jab is white, short is blue, etc).
If you want sanwa snap ins those are all your options. Unless your looking for specific patterns. Some popular ones are (popular in happ buttons) red white blue black in vertical rows, or red white red white canadian. I have experience putting different colours for each different kind of thing (See: my DP) and imo it didnt turn out as good as i thought it would. i reccommend all one colour. My favourite idea is just all your favourite colour if it is on the list of buttons.
Lol that was the page I was looking at before posting here. So my favorite color is green…So I wanted black/white on all 6, and on PPP and KKK I wanted like black/grey just like in your picture. So maybe I was thinking, how about I get black/green on 6, and black/grey on the last 2. Would that look good (on a SE stick), and also which ball top would fit better? Like what color? (I know green may be an option…)

Depends on the art and how you want your buttons to look with it. Also, it’s a matter of taste, we can’t say, “hey, don’t pick those low tier button colors,” because frankly, my button color tier list may be different than your button color tier list.
The long short, pick what you think looks good.
Next thing you know. We will be re-theming something in a Mediterranean style, with terra cotta.
Unless you really like the black/green or black/ anything colours i actually suggest 6 solid green buttons (no black rim) and the 2 black/grey + green ball top.
I wouldn’t consider that a fad. Astro city cabs ALWAYS come stock with pink and green. not to say it doesnt look nice, just pointing that out though.
My modded SE has blue, yellow, red, then black in vertical rows - color coded to training mode input display =P.
