Arcade stick button arrangement

I been tinkering with diffarent button arrangements to see what feels right for me wile playing super street fighter iv arcade edition on Xbox 360 (i don’t mean layout of the buttons, I mean what button is set to what game button, punches kicks etc) I use a 8 button layout (a,b,x,y,r1,r2,l1,l2)

Hoping people will post their arrangements and why they like said arrangement.

Thanks.

I may be misreading. But my button functions are as follows (for Street Fighter)

lp mp hp
lk mk hk

I only use six buttons on my stick, and I mimic the arcade layout.

It was a bit hard to put into words what I ment lol I have 8 button set up Layed out ruffly like this: http://www.slagcoin.com/joystick/layout/slants36_m.png

What I wanted to know is what buttons you have mapped to each button.

Eg. (lp) (Mp) (hp) (multi)
(lk) (mk) (hk) (multi)

Or (lp) (Lk) (Mk) (multi)
(mp) (hp) (hk) (multi)

Hope that explains better what I wanted to know lol

Okay, so I did answer correctly. Whew!

I have the same setup for Street Fighter, which by the way is the default set up for Street Fighter with a PS3 Mad Catz TE.

System set up

Xbox
X Y RB LB
A B RT LT

PlayStation
Square Triangle R1 L1
X button Circle R2 L2

SNES
X Y L
A B R

Controls

Street Fighter
LP MP HP 3X
LK MK HK 3X

Street Fighter notation used on many PCBs
1P 2P 3P 4P
1K 2K 3K 4K

And because I can

Neo Geo (Six Button, X = Not used)
B C D
A X X

I always preferred

LB X Y RB
LT A B RT

That layout makes more sense to me, but having to do button setups every time you pull the stick out loooool and put it back in when it’s your turn whyy!??!! is more trouble than it’s worth, so I just use the typical X Y RB LB instead.

LP MP HP none
LK MK HK none

is the one true layout for Street Fighter.
