Arcade Machine help

My friend needs some help with his machine. Heres whats up with it:

"I bought a xmen vs street fighter arcade machine. It was working fine I dropped
a wire while messing with the light fixture to get it to work it hit a metal bar
on the back of the monitor made a pop and cut off. I thought the power supply
was blown and just bought a new one for it and nothing still gets power. I found
2 fuses 1 on the monitor and 1 near the power supply. both look good, Dont know
what it could be at this point… "

anybody know whats wrong?

Sounds like you potentially ruined your monitors flyback. That’s really the only thing that will make that noise.

Could he have maybe caused an accidental discharge? That would fuck up the monitor if it somehow happened while it was on.
