I couldn’t find a setting to turn off the background music, so recording the sounds via line-in is not optimal.
If anyone here has a jailbroken iPhone/iPod Touch with Street Fighter IV and is able to record the sound via line-in, please send me a pm - it’s possible to change files within the app with a jailbroken iphone.
I’ll look into decrypting the files again tomorrow.
We’re still trying to open the files up in app. I am trying to just delete the background music so i can record the file, and will report back if it works. Have you browsed the sf4 folder in the iphone? Or do you think you know what the file name of the background music is? It pretty much could be the same file as the pc. If you know which it is it would really help
The .pvr files are the background stage files. Trying to locate the music files.
Definitely delivering today. Just have to tweak the files a bit
Edit:
I’m putting the csb back together and replace it… but nothing changes, even though the sound is clearly different when I unpack it or play it in the SFIV Audio Manager… any suggestions?
Just tried it, thanks so much for the effort, I was constantly bringing back the subject in different PC-related threads, now it’s done !
Just a remark, I think the blocking sound’s a little bit “muffled” (hope this is the right word), or muddy… is it really 44100hz ? Or compressed ? I mean it just doesnt sound as “clear” as the other hit sounds of the games. Maybe because I’m not used to it, so it still feels weird…
I’m uploading the better version right now… it’s still “muffled” - and yeah it’s 44100hz and uncompressed… keep in mind that this is recorded via line in.
