I’ve found this new arcade app on this site: Tutorial Arcade Live [ArcLive]

is in spanish, in this thread everything is transtaled to english by me, so this is a personal contribution to srk, it’s a long text, i’m willing to help everyone with doubts and anything, so if you have questions and everything else, please be patience.

Also i made a summarized translation, there’s a lot of useless text, so i will translate JUST the necessary. Also i’ve changed some part of the text to make this tutorial easier to understand.

Translation:

This new service is relatively new, it’s working relatively well, here we have a tutorial in oder to start using this new alternative to ggpo or supercade, when you’re are tired of these two, or maybe you’ll find it as a better alternative.

This is Arclive official website: Arcade Live ?? ?? ???
phil’s note: the next part of the article they provide the roms list with a direct download link for each rom, i don’t have a clue about SRK Policies and rules about roms so i wont translate that part, but they say that ggpo and supercade roms works perfectly for ArcLive. don’t ask me about roms, you probably know where and how to get roms lol, so it’s up to you!

The next thing to do is very simple, in 4 simple steps you’ll be playing!

  1. Download the Client: ftp://dl2:dl2@61.152.183.223/arclive.exe, is an exe file, i’ve already used and it’s free of virus, spywares and other bad stuff, this app is from china but there’s not problem with the language, cause everything is in english!, when the program is installed on your pc, a folder is created, just click on: start>program files inside this directory there’s a folder called “!put downloaded games here”, you have to put your roms in that folder, also the program launcher is in there.

  2. Open ArcLive, click Register button, you’ll create and instante account with user, password and email, there’s not email confirmation, so you can click the back button and you can login. it’s done, you’re in!

  3. Choose the game, choose the zone(the zone is sorted by language, so you have to find your language zone for yourself!, example: kof2002, zone 5 is the most used for hispanics), once inside the zone, you can configure your arcade stick, controller, kb or whatever clicking Game Options and with “Personal” Button you can change your Avatar and other personal details.

  4. To Create a game, click “Create Room”, just wait for your adversary, switch to ready, and you hosted your first room!. To join a game, click on your buddy’s nick with a created room and click Join, to change to full screen, press Tab button of your keyboard.

This is it!

They posted a video tutorial explaining how to play Kof2002, the video is in spanish but it’s not necesary to speak spanish to understand this short and easy tutorial, just watch it!

Phil note: i haven’t tested this but there’s a lot good reviews of this new alternative to play online with your pc.

Looks sweet I’ll check it out tonight

This shit has the deadly rave-neo seal of approval on it… of course its sweet.

this looks friggin’ awesome, saved in my bookmarks to read on the way home. ^5 OP

Questions questions questions:

1)What emulator does it use?

2)Which games does it support…post a link to a list if possible.

3)Is there spectating?

4)Replay downloads?

There is spectating but its called observe or something like that? But one of the cool features is that you can watch old matches as well as live(I think live has a 5 sec. delay due to watchers may lag the matches) ones.

If you haven’t seen it a member already posted some games supported by ArcLive.

Nice List eh?
