Arcade Legends presents “Old School Onslaught” our first ever OLD SCHOOL & NEW SCHOOL tournament.
We will start the day at 3pm with an NES/SNES/SEGA GENESIS/ARCADE tournament and finish up with an SFIV tournament.
All the details below. This is indeed a Sunday tournament but it is Labor Day on Monday so a good portion of you won’t have to work. Plus it will finish by 10pm so it shouldn’t be an issue.
Place:
Arcade Legends
5951-3 Boymel Dr
Fairfield, OH 45014
Time:
NES, SNES, SEGA GENESIS tourney starts at 3pm - double elimination
SFIV at 5pm - double elimination
Cost: $8 entry to the arcade. $5 to enter the Old School tournament. $10 for SFIV.
Pot split is 70/20/10.
Format:
SFIV will be run on PS3. We have one SE fight stick with a Sanwa joystick available for loan during the tourney and there are always good people willing to loan as well.
The OLD SCHOOL tourney will be run on 2 NES, 2 SNES and 1 SEGA GENESIS. Each match, one player will pick a card that will have 3 games and the rules for each written on it. 2 games will be from one of the systems and the tie breaker game will be one of our arcade games. It’s best of the 3 games on the card so if one player wins the 2 console games, they move on and send the other player to losers brackets or the showers. There will be a few games where it is a single game, single match (NBA Jam for example). I am currently working on the list of games being used for the tournament and they will be added once they are decided on. Any suggestions will be considered but I do not have access to every SNES and GENESIS game. I do have 99% of all NES games and we have gone through a lot them already so I will list what we have so far. The rules for each game will not be revealed until you have the card in your hand.

This is gonna be amazing! I’m keeping this day open for sure! I’ll be making up for the couple of weeks I haven’t been at AL by coming for the Brawl tourney the day before, too. Should be a great time!
Yo if I have a ride I’ll come to this for sure. I’ll come for the old school shit. If you have that TMNT turtles in time I’ll body EVERYONE in that, Sonic 3,and Streets of Rage 2. I might enter 4 only to smash Derreck’s plans of winning some money.
That’s not the final list although I did add Caveman Games as I forgot it originally. Come to AL soon and help me weed through some games so we can get a great lineup. Don’t forget we still have your bag
Angelo: Well, you’ll be getting your three games randomnly. But all of the games will be awesome and fun.
Quan: cool, just let me know. Bring your ID because we most likely will be going to the Back Porch after everything is done.
Jesse: I might come up today to finish testing some games if that’s OK. I’m going to try and kisnap my friend today and bring him with me. He has the Sega, Nes, and SNES. And this weekend (sorry I never called you back) Lee and I will be coming up Sat. For the 2v2 (if he doesn’t want to go to that coffee shop thing) and we’ll bring our set-up.
Zach: you don’t know nothing about coloring a dinosaur.
Mad possum: you better believe it will be there! The list that’s up isn’t the final list. Jesse and I still have to test some games out. There should also be Power Rangers fighting game!
He’ll update the list as soon as he can, I’m sure!
