ill try to get other hx heads to go. i wont commit until i can get confirmation with others. sounds fun tho

Sounds good bud, would love to see you here.

What if I have that empty stick done for you ;).

Hey, I think it could be worth while to make a tourney thread for this on http://www.dustloop.com/forums/index.php
Its a GG forum, but there are some AZ players there that only post there. And if we are lucky maybe some other players will be interested in it, seeing as AZ’s GG scene is getting pretty beefy.

Do it marvin, you’re the GG celeb of the town, they’ll wanna go if you support it

Alrighty, I made a thread there. I just cut and paste the first post and included the PDF.

Thanks Marvin.

im there, as long as my friend Anthony (illcontested) wants to drive im down.

I’ll give ST a shot.

Change it up a bit. ST will be on console, ps2. That way people can use the joysticks they are familiar with for a tournament. The cabinet will have a bunch of fighters on it for casual play. MVC, X-men vs SF, Darkstalkers, etc.

ED: I highly recommend using DC for ST. It’s the only acceptable version. If you plan on using AE, you should just make it all AE, since making that game ST only doesn’t really work too well

Will do. Problem is we were thinking of running MVC2 on DC, and I only have 2 DC sticks made. All jap parts.

Unless they make a really good, lag free, PS2 to DC converter then we are good. I will buy 2 of them upon recommendations.

I hope we have a good turn out because this is something I would love to do every few months. That’s why I am ok buying extra stuff needed, hoping I will need to use it again :).

I need to buy a DC VMU with the Marvel Save too I guess.

You tell that fool i said he’d BETTER be there!!!

I saw a lot of people using ps2 > Dc converters in Ohio. I’ll assume they’re good since people are gonna play $1000 money matches on them.

Most people use ems converters but they are hard to find these days.

Thank 10K.

Question for all. Does anyone see any benefit in having registration for the tournament online? The only reasons I can think of is if 1. People want to pay with a Credit Card or 2. People won’t get to the tournament until after the registration period has ended (4:30pm so we have time to make the brackets).

Let me know.

i have 2 american layout dc sticks i will be willing to let people use and they have the saves on them. up to you. also…pre registration would be nice at least to see people who are registered. you should definitly ask for cash for fee just cause its easier to keep track of especially for prize money.

Yeah, I would make sure I had the cash come tournament day for those that registered online. Maybe even some of those big checks. haha, just kidding.

Thanks for the offer on the sticks. I have a VMU with the save on the way and 4 PS2 to DC adapters (The Total Control Plus). I have a 2 player PS2 sticks that is all american parts we might use for the DC Marvel. I will try to let you know ahead of time if we need the sticks. IF you are coming anyway and want to bring them, that’s fine too.
