Arcade cabinet bezel

So I’m almost dome in finishing my arcade cabinet. I’m just wondering how you guys make the bazel that goes around the monitor screen? Do you guys just put a sheet of acrylic over it and just like paint the border around ? Im thinking that’s the better option but have no idea how I’m gonna mount it. Any tips fellow cabinet holders?

yea thats why i did,
1: draw out the border
2: tape it off
3: i just used black spraypaint
4: flip it over and you got a nice piano black finish

I found glossy black posterboard I didn’t need to spray paint. I cut out 4 separate pieces for all sides and taped them around the monitor that I wanted to cover. That way I could adjust each corner and make it straight instead of cutting out a large square and realizing it was off by a bit. Then I made the entire cover with a square in the middle.

Black Poster board or similar cardboard material works well. Many actual arcade machines had only a Cardboard Bezel behind a pane of glass or acrylic

Awesome thanks guys. How do you get the plexi to stay? If it I get the right measurements will it just fit without needing to screw it down somewhere?

I think I’ll get a plexi and put that cardboard around the corners. Don’t wanna make the border crooked with the paint.

you can also purchase bezels from happ and most other places that sell arcade monitors for 20 bucks.

Post some pics of your cab… is this an upright, sitdown, cocktail cab?

Here is a good thread in making a real nice bezel…
