Check the first thread for soldering and wiring diagrams… its a bit of an advanced mod so i would highly recommend getting Gummowned to do your install for you… he carries stock of arc-eyes and masterstrike for his joystick mod customers…
on the paewang, you just wire it up as normal… with the arc-eyes, you have to feed each one power from USB +5v… then the ground is just connected to one of the button posts… connect to signal post for button press light up, connect to ground post for led on all the time… the concept isnt difficult, but the implementation may be tough for someone who doesn’t have a little experience soldering…
Saw your mails and Im wondered if youre aware about the Master Strike Thread. I would recommend this one for you coz I think it would cover all your needs and more…
you can use the common ground for the 8 buttons
for the home/start/back/turbo buttons i simply soldered both wires. they are common, but if you are extending to other buttons using another pcb, use both wires
Do you have anymore info on this? ;O or do I just solder the commons to the led? How about the GND on the other side? Could I put 12v’s through the pcb/usb?
Congrats!! My mind is officialy blown! I bet with some programming, you could get certain effects when you do certain combos (i.e., a sequence of inputs in particular timing is performed)?
HAHA… Im finally finished installing these awsome Arc Eyes plus Master Strike in my custom BRS themed TE! … Oh man installing, trouble shooting and then balancing school during midterms was probably not the smartest thing ive done… but it was totally worth it to get this stick where it is at now …hell, if i didn’t assemble it together i probably wud’ve went bonkers just staring at the components anywayz rofl… Whats awesome too is that this is just at default… can’t wait for some custom coding to be done  …enjoy guys!
Other than having the arc-eye or just led light bulbs, do I need anything else to work them? If I were to use led light bulbs for the bottom of my case what would I need? The simple led mods.
Stick looks tight. Question though on the light up balltop, did you have to drill at all into the balltop to insert the LED or did you just stick it as far as it would go through the hallowed out shaft?
After meeting up with Purplearms for lunch, i had another idea… …it’s a combination of the Masterstrike, ArcEyes, and a Custom PCB with an ATMEGA328 on it.
This was done late late late (too late really) so it’s only a first pass.
I have hooked up the MS with the ISP to the other ATMEGA to dump code.
