Space the setup correctly. If your doing the arakune corner trap correctly , he wont be able to sledge through it. Matter fact he probabaly wont even be able to do sledgehammer.

Of course it is. Given that the general strategy against Arakune is to not get in the corner, you are having to find a way to force them into it. A good player will generally avoid it, while a bad one will usually fall for it. Even then, if your timing is just a little off on calling the bell, they can escape.
Arakune’s CB Bug loops and Corner Traps are nothing compared to Nu’s “I Press D all day long and all you can do is block” pressure strings that NEVER end. But that’s for a different topic.
All I know, if he flies over my head, cat shoryuken. If he flies away, seed shot. If he teleports or starts running around, detonate batpoles. If he’s on the ground and not flying around, summon pumpkin, rush down time.
If the bugs come… I… curl up into a little ball, barrier, and fire seeds to try and pop him while he’s flying around/at me. Hopefully I won’t die before it hits.

Arakune isn’t that hard, unless you are playing Tager, then he is a nightmare. And even then, its not like he can’t be beaten. It just takes practice.
bad idea if you try to do J.D while he tries to escape corner lock down… youll get crumpled and juggled. Thats why you need to master the timing of the corner trap.
LOL. A good player will avoid it? Im from the midwest and in the midwest we have some of the best BB/GG players around. Its not just one of those thing you can "Avoid". Thats like saying " a good player can avoid getting put in a ROM infinite". One the players gets the hit they need your in it no matter what you press or try to do.
All arakune has to do to get you into the corner trap (cause thats what I beleive your talking about) is like a J.5D , 5A-6B , J.4B spike , 7A , 2D , J5A dive cancel , and etc...

- if he colliders you and tries to bring you into him… and you have 50% meter. You do know you can 214214D distortion before he even touches grabs you. Well , look at that! Tager strategy is gone out the window.
Its not completely avoidable, but I’m saying that a good player SHOULD know what to look for and how to counter it. HeartNana is a great example of this.
I’m not a fantastic player with Arakune, but I’ve seen some who just know how to zone and play him so that he really has to work to get the corner trap.
Well yeah , but at the same time an arakune player should be discovering “New” ways to setup people up into the trap, Not always using the same strategy.
Heartnana is a beast , but remember hes been living in japan. Probably playing against Souji and Hima. (Two Best arakunes IMO)
So Im sure hes seen lots of different ways but not all of the ways. Noel players know they have to rush arakune or that’s their ass.
Very true. Most characters have to rush Arakune though.
One of the problems I’ve been having is against good Ragnas. A good player with him can make any space feel like none at all. Decent rangas aren’t too bad, but good ones just make it seem like he can cover the entire screen.

J.D is the perfect move to punish sledge. Trust me, I played 4 tagers in Tourney this past weekend.

But it still is a risk… I play really really good tagers. If you dont time the J.5D perfect the sledge will hit you on your recovery. Its happened to me before. So I just stick to Super Jump 5D
You only do it in response to sledge. Have a homing cloud out and they’ll try to swat it away, you punish wit J.D. No real risk involved, as long as you don’t guess and just throw it out there.

v13 vs any1 is gay. but arakun needs a nice nerf. but doesnt matter nayways the top 3 are egttin nerfed nomatter what ppl think. according to aksygs its guaranteed that arakun and v13 are gettin nerfed. dont no nothing bout any1 else. so enjoy ur bs curses while u can lol

If ara curse stuff gets nerfed they need to give him a better dash , better normals and maybe a better jump/airdash.
