**** Arcade UFO’s next tournament event: Midwest Texas Hipster Tea Time ( April 28th )**
Sorry, we know it’s been sometime since Arcade UFO has hosted a tournament. But we’ve been busy with ranbat and… ranbat… and HAVING RANBATS!!!
Now that ranbat season is coming to a close (we’ll be starting the 2nd one soon), we’ve decided to throw an official tournament so that the out of town players can take our money.
LET’S SHOW THOSE OUT OF TOWNERS PLAYERS THAT WE TOO PLAY VIDEO GAMES!!!
This time, we start off with hosting a Team Tournament event.
Each games presented here will be set in teams.

-** Street Fighter X Tekken** (PS3) - 1:50 pm
- Street Fighter 4 AE 2012 (2v2 Teams**)** (Arcade) - 3:20 pm
- Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom (3 **3v3 **Teams) (PS3) - 5:20 pm
It’ll be difficult but it’s possible to add a 4th game into the mix.
It would be best if it was something that was already setup on Arcade and not console. Having 2 console games is a difficult task of itself being hosted, as it will conflict with SFxT and MvC 3 (and since we only have 2 setups to run console games, running another console related game might be impossible).

— Rules
General Rules.
- Matches will be set KoF / Pokemon style, only 1 game, no 2 out of 3.
- No game braking glitches that will prevent the match to continue.
- Console exclusive characters are banned.
- There is a character lock. Once you’ve selected your character(s), you must remain on that character for the entire tournament.
- No 2 of the same characters allowed in teams. Each player must choose a different character that from there team mate (however, this is a little different from Marvel 3).
Street Fighter X Tekken.
- Gems are banned.
- Infinities ARE allowed.
- SFxT will be ran in 2 out 3 on single elimination brackets.
Street Fighter 4 AE 2012 2v2 teams.
- Gems are banned.
Marvel vs Capcom 3 3v3 teams.
- Gems are banned.
- You can play a character that one of your teammates plays, but you cannot play the same 3 character team as one of your teammates (even if you play a different order). For example: Dante/Wesker/Doom + Vergil/Wesker/Doom is allowed, but Dante/Wesker/Doom + Wesker/Dante/Doom is not.
— Entry Fee / Prize
- $2 Entry.
- $5 Per game.
Entry fee only needs to be paid once, and it’s mandatory to pay in order to participate in the tournament. $2 entry fee will be going towards the venue of the event (Arcade UFO), while the $5 per game will go straight to the prize pot. Charges apply for each player, not teams (so it’s a total of $10 for 2v2 teams).
Top 3 are given cash prizes with the usual 70/20/10 split.
