It’s Akimo.

Beast Honda player along with Namameso/Umeso. Both are pretty f’ing good with two very different playstyles. Akimo is a more defensive type while Umeso is a handslap fiend.

this pamyu guy is a beast

HOLY FUCKING SHIT MDR PULLED AN ANTHONY. BLOCKED EX GALACTIC… ULTRA -_____-

Man, MDR is beasting. So clutch.

I would be down for that ish!

haha usa and japan 3v3 come down to rufus.

wow they are promoting the shit out of xbox ssf4 version.

TEAM RF wins. Momochi takes out MDR two rounds to zero. Really close matches. Sadly, MDR couldn’t seal the deal on numerous occasions. Great play from both teams.

Nah, I’m just salty about the misspell. We did good but we can do a lot better. Apparently, PR Rog is actually from PR. And he’s a really strong player. I don’t know who he practices against either. I’m not saying this just because he’s a strong player but because he’s successful in his own way. I know it’s hard for us since our exposure and experience isn’t the highest, but we can be successful in our own ways as well. We just need to figure it out.

My idea is just individual training. If we get better together in an individual sense we’ll have more training amongst each other.

For me, I’m gonna practice footsies overall. I still don’t understand completely how to use footsies into my game-play to pressure my opponent aside from fireballs. But even still I need to make a concrete understanding of when to use it and how.

What do you guys think each of us should work on? What do you guys think of this idea in general? Any opinions welcome.

all the c.jab/s.jab xx headbutts i do are option selects.

If you want to work on your footsies, a good way to practice is use normals exclusively. Learn the ranges of normals and when to use them.

And how does your option selects deal with blocked hits Junio? That has whiffs and hits covered. If it whiffs, you get s.jab/c.jab no HB. If it hits, you get HB, but if it’s blocked, you get HB too.

it’s a pseudo-option select then since i don’t use it when they block obv.

So, I decided to go into training mode and replicate what PR Rog did to me in the tournament (jab xx sweep over and over again). P-linking makes that shit retarded easy, I literally did it over 20 times in a row just now. If only it wasn’t such a pain in the ass for Abel.

One thing that will improve your footsies, along with your entire game, is thinking more about why you’re doing the things you do. I notice you throw out a lot of EX fireballs for, as far as I can tell, no good reason. This wouldn’t be as much of an issue if it weren’t for all the times (read: every single match I watch you play) where you need an FADC, but you don’t have the meter because of a useless red fireball you threw 30 seconds ago. This is something we all could probably stand do work on quite a bit.

lol i watched the stream, had no idea that was mikey and i had no idea you would be there. If you want mikey, ill teach you street fighter 2 and you can learn footsies pretty good from that game. just message me on aim or something hellztyrant989 is my sn. Honestly before me or my roomate play any sort of a serious match, or even higher level sessions we play guile vs guile and just do footsies matches. Works for us.

this is why i dont go to sf4 tourney anymore. If i play as much as those ******* in norcal or socal, i be at there level or a bit higher i would say, but due to no practice and no games. I rather stay a noob.

hoonyo do you still work at lids?

@Mike - I’m re-reading the footsies article and analyzing it critically. But yea, I do need to run through training mode and understand the ranges of footsies. I have a general knowledge but it needs to be better.

@Chow - Yea you are right. I do it to try and catch them trying to focus through my fireballs. But me throwing out an ex-fireball is guessing rather knowing. It’s better to know and have a reason rather through assumption and/or guessing. I’ll remember to make sure to manage my meter better.

@Tony - It’s Miky*!!! I’m pretty comfortable with footsies on a basic level. I need to go beyond that and learn more advanced scenarios of footsies to enhance my game play. I don’t play Guile but I’ll play Ryu against your Guile on GGPO if you want. I don’t have my 360 stick though so I can’t play atm. But I’ll gladly take on your offer if it betters me in any way possible.

Oh and for those of us who want to take a step further into our scene there’s a neat article on improving a non-existing scene.

Yeah sorry I don’t know much about Fuerte but I will try my best to learn that ish through and through. I am down to train any day after 6 (as long as I have my HW take care of).
On a side note my wisdom tooth extraction has turned into dry socket on the lower right side…eff my life!
