I haven’t played a game in years but there have been new codex’s released recently and looking to get back into playing. I have a few thousand points of blood angels.
Somehow I was duped into playing this game in middle school. Most games consisted of a table of unpainted, partially assembled models on my friends bare kitchen table and us arguing about the rules we never bothered to read for 3~4 hours. Then the pizza arrived and we vowed to finish the game after we rewatched Akira.
Used to be a Daemonhunters player in 3rd and 4th, then went super heavy into Grey Knights during 5th. Haven’t played since the start of 6th, tho.
Lmao you know I’ve actually been in that situation when I was in middle school. Except the argument was if akira was best anime of.all time which although good I still disagree
I always wanted to try grey knights they looked cool. But everything’s so damned expensive I just had to build on what I already had
I used to run Imperial Guard. And by run I mean dick around with the plastic kits and paint them. Guard was cool bc it was all plastics, so easy to kit-bash and make up interesting models.

A terminator chaplain I painted the other day.
I used to have a 2k point Space Wolf collection and my brother collected the Tau, it was an expensive hobby however so now I just tend to read the Horus Heresy novels now.
I mostly played 3rd and 4th edition, Eldar and Tyranids, my brother was a pure Chaos player - Khorne and Nurgle.
2005 or 2006 we started playing Warhammer a bit but stopped shortly after, somehow everybody stopped playing tabletops alltogether.
Still have some old unfinished Chaos Slaanesh figures. ;_;

The art and the lore was what brought me in :]. Along with painting.it’s relaxing to me. But the hours heresy novels seem pretty good. I read the first and loved it

I remember slapping a shadow field on my Archon and just having him murder everything until a 1 (or was it a 1 or 2) was rolled back when I was around 12.
