Hi guys, found these on ebay, and was wondering if anyone has any info on them. Mainly, what parts do they use, and if the parts are not decent ones, are they easy to replace.

While I can’t say exactly what parts those have? I’m pretty sure that those aren’t Sanwas.
If those sticks had genuine arcade parts I’m sure they would mention it. Btw the second stick doesn’t work on next gen consoles.
The first stick is a Mayflash: http://www.mayflash.com/psps2/ps3046/PS3046.html
On the ebay page it’s called a PS2/Ps3 Fighting Stick, but nowhere in the description does it actually say it works on PS2. The only Mayflash stick works on both PS2 and PS3 is the older model: http://www.mayflash.com/pc/pc042/pc042.htm
I haven’t seen images of the inside, but if the older Mayflash and other generic Chinese sticks are any indication, it probably uses garbage rubber dome buttons so there’s no desoldering involved but there’s still a lot of wiring and soldering needed to mod it.
The second arcade stick looks like one of those old Qanba sticks, which I think uses knockoff parts but with quick-disconnects for easy modding as seen in these images of another Qanba stick: http://forums.redflagdeals.com/dx-qanba-arcade-stick-778009/
how about this one? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PC-Wrestle-Joystick-PS3-PS2-PSX-Arcade-Fight-Game-/150556927464?pt=Video_Games_Accessories&hash=item230de465e8
That is an old Hori SKU. Parts could be equal or worse than Hori buttons and stick. Definitely moddable, albeit difficult.
How difficult?
Consider this:
You can look up to modding the stick to fit a JLF, filing the button holes to 30mm to fit good buttons from other Hori stick modding guides and squeeze all of that inside that very shallow and tiny case.
Rule of thumb, if it’s your first time ever to buy a stick, let along mod it. Get one of the usual TEs, SEs or HRAPs.
There is a reason I left out the original Qanba out of my “what stick to buy guide”. Other than the box/case I didn’t see much value in it, plus overseas shipping.
The original Qanba more for a experienced Modder who got bored.
As for Mayflash, I tried some of there products. Their system cables and extension cables are’t bad, there odd accessories you can’t find in a normal game store are ok. But I never liked their game pads, so I do not expect that much out of their Sticks ether.
Take Dev’s advice and go for a more established brand. If you looking for a stick to mod go for something that the stick mods have been better documented.
Thanks for the info guys.
