I live in Bahrain and play SSFIV. I just got back to the game so I’m rusty and overall just an average player (I main Akuma and alt Bison). Will play AE for sure.
You’re only on Xbox 360 btw? Because at the moment I only have a PS3/PC, thinking about getting an Xbox 360 since the connections are less laggy there, getting another TE stick for the 360 sucks though since those are pretty expensive to import.

metallicaband, got you’re pm. I’m not much of an online player, especially in BAH. Are you in the Juffair area? I only play everything on box360. I have ssf4, mvc3, t6, m9. Not having much time to play, but if there’s gamers interested in playing i’m game. I’m originally from the states. 
I live near Riffa, problem is there ain’t good places in Bahrain for playing SSFIV offline, if you know 1 please let me know (I hope you won’t mention Game-On or whatever it’s called in Juffair, I have some really bad experiences at that place).
If you’re on Batelco internet, we should get smooth matches online. Anyway I only play SSFIV (couldn’t get into marvel and ain’t a MK fan), if I got a 360 I’ll add you, please post your gamertag if you think about playing online sometime.
never heard of Riffa, but of course i’m not from here. Well…game-on is wayyy to expensive anyway even if you bring your own setups. I have a setup at my place. I may even have my bro send over my other HORI jap stick from the states.
I believe there’s alot of comp on the base in Juffair. Gonna try and see if i can get some of them to come out and game. Try and get atleast some bi-weekly torney’s in -_-
I’ve met some people from the base in game-on when they were setting up a CoD LAN tourney (which ended up horribly btw and lag was worse than playing against someone from a different continent lol), they told me that they play on the 360 only so I couldn’t add 'em. If you know any that are into SF it would be great if we could gather someday in an endless lobby, but I’d imagine most folks there are into FPS more than 2D fighters lol.
I wish to start an arcade scene here someday, but these days aren’t exactly the best for starting new businesses in Bahrain, maybe sometime in the future I’d really give it a shot. If you did manage to gather people at a place on regular basis for casuals/mini tournies, just let me know if you’d like more people to come, I play Akuma and got a couple of friends who play good Ryu and Vega, all on stick, doing some 3vs3 team sets would be awesome (even if we get our asses kicked lol ).
well, judging from the amount of games that are always off the shelves, there seems to be a robust interest in mk9 and mvc3. So if people are interest in those types of games, i’m sure ssf4 would be just as robust.
It seems like “game-on” would be more accessible to base and local players than anywhere else. They have a decent surrounding for a torney, just as long its not involving any LAN or WAN setups it would be great. Just locals from the base and abroad looking to battle off line in a bracket style manner. I will try and gather the herd of players (because i know there lurking around here lol) and at the very least get them up on these boards. After that we can setup casual meetings for gaming. I should have commenced this way back when, but just been to busy with other things lol.

Game-on did run a SF tourney a while back, I didn’t go but my friends did, their displays had stupid amounts of input lag, also their charges for regular gaming sessions is a total RIPOFF!
Anyway I’ll keep an eye on this thread for updates, at the very least getting some more people here to start discussing stuff would be a good start.
