If you’re buying from the US, do NOT ship with UPS. You’ll likely pay up to an additional 50% of the price of the TE, with their customs and brokerage fees. If anything, you should ship with USPS to avoid that and just pay the customs fee. (GST and PST of your province, so 13% for Ontario) The TE is pretty heavy though, so I’m guessing the shipping would be pretty expensive for USPS, plus you’d have to pay more for insurance.
So yeah, just weigh in your options and see which is cheaper.
Personally, I got mine from NCIX for CAD$129, plus $2 shipping. Both the TE and the shipping price were limited deals a couple of months ago. The cheapest right now is probably $149 from NewEgg. You can probably wait for the round 2 TE sticks, and the retailers might discount the round 1 ones. (they’ll probably think it’s an entirely new version, instead of just an artwork change)
