Anyone here bought a VEWLIX kit from KRAY?

So me and my roommate put down our deposit on a V4 2 Player. Is there a place to get high quality panel designs? I’ve found high quality SF4 cabinet art, but was hoping to find some high quality control panel examples. Or at least some measurements/templates.

I also came looking for TV recommendations. We’re going to toss in a PC and Xbox. I was hoping to go 1080 because of the PC but that recommended 720 Samsung above looks great. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen it in a few pictures and it sits so flush and the price is right.

He suggests screw ins(?), but I’ve seen people use some exotic buttons that I can only seem to find in the snap ins, mostly just browsing focus attack though. Anyone know whats up with that?

The panel will be too thick for snap-ins to secure, thus the screw-in style button recommendation. In the end you can use snaps because you’ll be applying downward force, it’s just better form to use screw-in buttons.

FA’s OBSN-30 stock does look a little thin right now, but they are completely rocking a huge selection of Seimitsu screw style buttons.

There’s also other shops around if you’re looking for something more specific.

(I’m not any help regarding TV or template though.)

Does anybody happen to have the photoshop template for the Kraylix V3 2 Player Cab? I can’t find the file anywhere and its no longer on any of the download sites. I want to do a Blaz Blue theme for my V3 cab.

Just thought I would chime in regarding possible screens to use for their cabinet, thats if your fitting a 32". I used a 32" Samsung UN32EH4003 LED in the last cabinet I must say there is absolutely minimal to no lag. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough, everyone that played on it couldnt detect any lag. The only down side to his screen is that it only has 2 hdmi inputs and no audio out which is strange but a hdmi switcher with audio out worked great for me. I paid £240 for it with free delivery which is still quite cheap when compared to other higher end screens.

I can honestly say that this can easily replace the Panasonic screen that most people are using/looking to buy.

This article/test by FourWude is very useful- http://www.displaylag.com/display-database/

Yea it’s just under a frame of lag according to the site. It’s what kray suggests on his page and what I ended up with since it was only $200. I still really want a 1080p one badly though.

You and me both. I can’t find a single template anywhere. I’d settle for a blank one.

I haven’t found speakers for my cab yet, but does the “no audio out” mean that it can’t naturally support the speakers that should be installed above the screen? Without an hdmi switcher I mean.

I was just going to run component cables.
Those are all car speakers right? Do you just get a straight wire and need a receiver?

No need for a receiver, just buy a cheap amp.

For PS3/360 just use the AV cables along w/ hdmi…Dont use component it will lag.

Component lags? I never understood why HDMI doesn’t, considering it’s encrypted.
Can you use the AV cables with HDMI on an Xbox? I know you can with the PS3.
You’ll have to excuse my ignorance on the Xbox. Mine is old and doesn’t have HDMI. We’ll be tossing my roommates Xbox in most likey (biggest HDD for everyones games)

If you want to run the speakers that are inside the TV then no need for any additional splitters etc. Forgot to mention, that particular Samsung doesnt have component input either. Pretty shit connectivity options but a very good screen none the less.

Yes it does. I have it. And its listed on its Amazon page as well.

I think he meant VGA, there is no VGA on the Samsung…

Ah. I don’t mind using the speakers inside the TV, but it has holes for speakers to be installed. If I’m going to put speakers in there, I’d also want them to work if possible.

I am very puzzled about the component input on the Samsung screen. The one I had didn’t have one at all. I remember when I took it out the box I spent about 30mins just trying to find where the rest of the connections are. The screen I used only had 2 x hdmi inputs, 1 x usb and coaxial/ariel socket. There was no component (HD) sockets anywhere. Any chance you can take a quick photo of the back of your screen please?

Edit: Here is the link to where I purchased my one from… http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9127032.htm

You can see in the photos that it doesn’t have any sort of component (HD) input but instead it has a scart input. They must use different connectivity options depending on country sold which sucks pretty bad.

To be honest, im not the type to blast the speakers considering your only sitting 1-2ft away from the screen. The TV speakers were very adequate in my opinion but its always nice to add external speakers via some sort of amplifier so you can turn your arcade cabinet into some sort of jukebox if you know what I mean.

I think some Samsung screens have a optional break out connector for component.
One end looks like a paire of audio jacks, the other has your RCA break outs

Oh me either, but the cabinet would look incomplete without speakers installed and if I’m going to install speakers, I’d want them usable and not just for show.

Thanks for that suggestion… I have been meaning to start work on my cab and this was the one item I was stuck on cause I did not want a big standard AV amp.

What do you guys have in regards to settings for your Samsung 32" TVs? Mine feels slightly laggy. Not super laggy, but just enough that my hypergrav loop timing is thrown off. I switched my 360 to output to 720p, turned on Game Mode, and renamed my hdmi input to GAME. Anything I’m missing?

If the TV supports VGA input, use that. Most 720p TVs are really 768p panels, and Xbox can output a true 768p signal via VGA. The less processing the panel has to do, the better. It does mean you’ll have to split your audio out separately though, but since you plan on using the external speakers it shouldn’t be an issue. That’s what I do with my Panny, and it definitely helps.

edit: VGA as in 15pin DSUB connector.

Yes I’m thinking the same thing. Do anyone know where to get the psd file or some sort of template for this cab Kraylix V4 2player kit?
