see i didnt even know about that. now that i do, i have another question. Can he assemble certain parts that require gluing? if so does it cost extra? and how much?
Depending on how your going to construct/built it might be possible but, I’m not sure how. The cab is 2 major pieces when done, the CP and the stand/legs. Also how does gluing help, there are many other time sensitive tasks involved with construction.
Ask Kray, the designer/masterbuilder would know best. : D
Man! that cabinet is sweet!
i can’t wait till i get myn! i think i’ll do the same Black setup you got going but paint the cabinet Red like the Vewlix cabinets i seen in japan, i dont really like the 2 buttons on the side of the joystick tho, i think im going to have Kray put them on the side of the control panel like the other cabinet he has, Im also wondering if the postioning of the joystick and the layout of the buttons are the same as the TE madcatz, anyone know?
Man you got a great deal! The recommended screen is the LG 32LD350…but pretty much any 32" LCD will do. The .pdf instruction manual for the Kraylix will tell you how to mount the screen…tell the seller to email it to you.
Congrats on your cab BOOM! Any 32" HDTV will work. Mine [Sony] has a shallow bezel, so I had to prop it up to get it at the right height for the frame. Adjusting [screwing in] the right angle brackets will hold the TV easily in place. The control panel is held down by 2 heavy duty hinges. Think: flight case. They are very strong. But be careful, hold or have someone else hold the CP, while unhooking. It can flop down under its own weight.
Sorry to just dive in with a question but I’m really interested in a “Kraylix” (most likely hitched to a PS3) but am not sure how terrified to be of the wiring challenge. I’m strong with certain kinds of electronics such as home theaters but I’m not sure how much tougher this will be. I’ve tried to sift through the 18 pages here but can’t seem to find some “square 1” guidance on what materials and steps I need to do the wiring I described. If it matters, this will be a 2-player setup.
Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks so much!!!
if you have skills with home theatre wiring…you shouldn’t have any problem with the Kraylix build. Your essential building an entertainment system in one box. There are several ways to wire every component that may be included. Let me know if you have any specific questions.
Thanks for the quick reply. The connections between the buttons/joystick and PS3 are the biggest mystery to me. Is there some sort of ready-made harness to tie those buttons, etc. to the PS3 controller port? (I’m guessing not!). If I have to run wires off all those controllers, how exactly do I tie them in to the game console? Do I have to actually open up the PS3 to do something to the boards? Sorry to start at such a basic level, but that’s where I am!.. Any help appreciated…
Hello Kray. I was wondering about possible custom work. My place is fairly small, and I can’t fit another cab in here (at least not with a straight face). I love your KLX Stand, and could really use a variant of it in my condo. Would it be possible to get a KLX Stand with the following modifications:
[]as wide as v4 2 player cab
[]modular control panels (1 with a v4 2 player layout; 1 with no lever/button holes; identical form factors)
This would be my ultimate game station. Not only could the 360, PS3, and PC hide inside the stand… But all three could use the same control panel if wired as PS2 controllers. When I need to work, the game station would transform into a desk via the blank CP.
Thanks for having a badass hobby!
