Anyone here bought a VEWLIX kit from KRAY?

too many things on the devkit to list here. very interesting proposition for both of us
please pm me! ty

I ordered 2 of the PS/360 PCB from Focus Attack. Upon research tho it seems like you have to have a ā€œturboā€ button wired to the PCB to power on/off the PS3 and 360? Anybody know if this would apply to my control panel on my Kray cab or is this just a TE stick issue?

YouTube - dacitizenonline’s Channel at about 8:50 in the video he mentions holding down the turbo button to power on the consoles.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure you just need to wire up your select and turbo on the same button and you should be good to go. check the PDF on the various hook ups.

Hey Kray, I sent you an email with some questions recently, just wondering if you could get back with me. Would love to pick up a cabinet if possible, I live in Irving so, Fort Worth is pretty convient for something like this.

Michael

Oh ok I was wondering if maybe I could wire them both to back/select. Unfortunately I can’t open PDF on my PC my browser crashes everytime for some reason. I’ll have to look at the file from a friends computer sometime. thanks for your help. Sorry for asking so many questions I just want to be fully prepared and be ready to get this cab up and running when it arrives.

yes, you can wire the turbo to your back/select button.

Do I wire both 1player and 2player guide/home buttons to the same button?

why not just wire them to their own separate button?

The control panel I’m getting on mine is like the pic above with the 5 holes drilled. So that’s 2 select/back/turbo buttons and 2 start buttons and 1 guide/home button. I’ve never wired a cp before so if I can make all of these functions work with the 5 holes drilled on the cp let me know how to wire it.

The idea was to give each controller board a start button, a select/turbo (if using the ps360), and a single guide button, since you don’t really need two. As for how to do it, again assuming you are using the PS360 boards, use the 11 button wiring diagram from the PDF Akishop provides, for Player 1, and the 10 button for player 2.

that’s why i chose 5, Kray seems open to putting as many holes in it as you want, so different groupings might work well too.
After seeing the 5 holes in a line, I wondered if it would be better to do 6 24mm buttons in a triangle shape ?

Yeah I’m using 2 PS/360 PCB in my control panel. Just wondering if I should have Kray add a 6th 24mm button slot. Almost seems like too much on the control panel what do you guys think?

I agree, the 5 i had put on my cpanel does edge towards the ā€œtoo busyā€ or ā€œtoo muchā€ side of things…

Maybe I could have them underneath the cp so it’s hidden?

I have the original Vewlix layout on top for 2 buttons…then had 2 on the left and 2 on the right sides of the control panel. Something like his silver Mortal Kombat cab he has on his blog.

Nice thats what I’m going to do. I remember seeing that. Do you run PS3/360 on your cab?

Yeah…that’s the plan. He has been done with my cab since last week…but I told him to hold off on shipping due to the insane snow we have been getting here in Boston and the fact I am leaving for a week in Florida.

I also have 2 PS360 pcbs that I will be wiring up through the cab. My plan is to only have my surround sound inside the cab…but My slim xbox and PC will stay on my desk. I then have 2 usb splitters running from the cab, so that I will have the sticks working always on the PC and xbox without switching wires during mix play. and I have 2 -25 foot HDMI cables and 2- 25 foot optical cables.

The main thing about having it hooked up to my very high end PC is for Emulation:

Atomisware Emulator-(Fist of the North Star),
Naomi Emulator- (capcom Versus SNK2, and Street Fighter Zero 3 Upper)
Mame Plus-(tons of arcade titles)
GGPO-(tons of solid fighters)

and the big one…

Wii Dolphin Emulation-(Tatsunoko versus Capcom in 1080p 60frames a second)

I’m doin that exact same set-up. great minds…

I just got my cabinet but am I going crazy when I look at the start buttons. Are they 24mm button holes? If so I have to order a couple buttons.

And man does this thing sit low. I really need to find a stool or bench to sit on soon.

Next thing is to go to Fedex/Kinkos to get my artwork printed out. I hope they dont take days to do it.

Now that I have it in my hands I know I’m going to have a ton of questions.

…godlike…
