I wish that art was available before haha, does anyone have the vewlix logo marquee without the red…
Even though I don’t have a Kraylix, mine’s still a Donovan Myers cab clone, I may be able to use this art (except for the CP part). Any chances on an english and hopefully a non AE movelist?
Kray thanks for that artwork post, im really diggin the “MoveList” im def going to use that…
Let us know how the print comes out, if any resizing is necessary, thanks
I think all of the artwork and moves list are taken from CAPCOMFSUPER STREET FIGHTER IV TCgbARCADE EDITION
I don’t think Capcom has released an english version of this artwork/moves list as of yet.
I have a question that I dont think anyone has asked yet. How is the unit sitting on the floor? On the bare wood of the cabinet or is there some type of feet on the bottom that Kray sends with it? If not, has anyone added any that work well?
Hmmm… I bought casters but opted not to put them on, on carpet I have plenty of room for my legs an such though. Me an
My brother are both 6 ft tall also. Elbow room is arcade standard though.
Thanks! Just wondering about those that are not putting it on carpet.
Also I’m still having trouble with the speaker situation. I was gonna do car speakers and a regular 2 channel receiver but the receivers are all 8 ohms and the speakers are all 4 ohm. Wouldn’t that damage both the receiver and the speakers.
Now I looked into regular computer speakers and they are functioning at 4 ohms which should work with the car speakers with no issue (I hope) but I’m wondering on the sound quality.
For those of you who have hooked yours up please let me know your setup.
I have two fosgates in the top but that’s were I’m screwed too. I looked for a 4 ohm receiver(cheap one) an couldn’t find one. I have a nice surround sound setup that optical from my xbox but the sub is massive an would shake the clothes of the on on screen characters lol. I’m still hunting though, I’ll post my finds also!
There seems to be a lot of that same question posted everywhere. You can google “4 ohm speakers on 8 ohm amp”. Pretty much most of them would suggest adding (in series) a high wattage resistor to your 4 ohm speakers to bring it up to 8 ohms. I was thinking of maybe just adding another 4 ohm speaker in series since the original vewlix had 4 speakers anyway.
What do you think about what I posted earlier about the pc speakers. The logitech series are 4 ohms. Am I thinking this correctly by saying I can snip the wires on those and put the car speakers? Would just have to get one with an aux input so I can run 2 channel from the console.
For those that have put one together which option did you got with?
x24 your right…duhhhhhhh i totally did not think of a series. i can put 2 discretly under the cp or somthing lol. by the way does any one know if theres any long term effects to an lcd screen from having a magnet that close, i know my crt got trashed a little on one side cause of a speaker mag.
So basically hook the 2 speakers together in series then run them both to a single channel on the receiver? Would that have any adverse affects since 2 speakers are now running to 1 channel. I see you guys are talking about adding another pair but wouldnt that be essentially doing the same thing to another channel on the receiver?
The receiver has no way of knowing there’s more than one speaker connected to a channel. Connecting two 4-ohm speakers in series is essentially the same thing as connecting one 8-ohm speaker. When I was setting up my JAMMA system I only had two 4-ohm speakers so I connected them together in series and they work just fine.
That makes sense!! Thanks a lot.
On a different note did anyone download the .psd of the artwork that Kray posted?
I’ll be the first to admit that I suck at photoshop. I’m trying to change the red to a blue that matches the sanwa blue but I want to keep the gray lines that run through the template. Everytime I do it the whole thing turns blue erasing the gray lines. Any help would be awesome.
When this is printed do you think it should be printed with the measurements turned on so I can see where to cut the artwork?
I have so many questions regarding this project lol.
I knew it should work in theory, i just needed someone who had done it to confirm. I myself am using a logitech 2.1 set and it’s rated 8 ohm for each speaker. With my cab right now i’m planning on using 3.5" speakers to match the look of the original vewlix but there’s hardly any space at the bottom of the tv. Plus i’m also curious about having speakers very close to an hdtv.
gimme some time im converting that image to psd file then cutting it into layers.
to kray:on another note i mapped your control panel(for kali pimping, he’s my brother) and made a psd template for it. i was wondering if you would like the file, i imagine you get a million requests for the template, also if you have different layouts you want converted to a template, just send me the measurments(left to rights and up to downs) and i can make those also. also i was going to take the vewlix log and alter it so it says kraylix for my bros cab. would you like that aswell.
note to all: i will be posting all the templates and files talked about in this thread, give me a few days to whip it up.
I’ve been helping KRAY out on a lot of his art design needs…He just got his new logo this afternoon.

and my cabinet is finally shipping out this Tuesday! Super happy! I’m ready to hook this thing up with some crazy ass tech. Will post more of a on going work log when I get it.

Here is a link to the .psd that Kray sent me.

I’m excited also, my cabinet is shipping out tomorrow.
Majin,
All you need to do is use the magic wand…and select the one specific color you want to change. Once it’s selected, go up to the top of Photo-shop and go to “SELECT” on the menu bar (it’s in between “LAYER” and “FILTER” . From there select “SIMILAR” and it will highlight all of that specific color you want to change. Let me know if this helps.

That helped a lot Dirty, thanks!! I’m glad thats done.
I do have a silly question though… what is the 2 blue lines running through the cp… there is no layer for it. Is it just a guide? Will it be there when I print it.
Speaking of printing. Whats the best way to go about getting this printed. Should I leave it in .psd format or convert to .jpg? Should I leave the dimensions on so I know where to cut?
What material should I get it printed on?
If there is anything else I’m missing please let me know.
As for the speaker posts from earlier, if I run in series they will only be to 1 channel…so I wont have stereo sound. If I buy another pair I wouldnt know what to do with the floating 2.
