Any small, independant phone shops around your area? They can usually do that kind of thing. Thats how I got mine done.

The Q can’t be unlocked as it’s a CDMA Verizon phone. You can use it on another CDMA network with the same properties and frequencies as Verizon which is almost universally standard or you get sorta like watered down version. Plus, it’s more of a, “there is nothing to unlock”, since it doesn’t use Sim cards and the networks can be swapped.

See, but you’re not unlocking it in the traditional sense, you’re just lifting restrictions and allowing unauthorized and third party apps on the phone. There are people who can transfer the phones network for you, thats an easy job. Not easy enough to do alone but most stores will do it.

if its on verizon im not too sure if theres any purpose in unlocking the phone. I can only see a need to unlock GSM phones not CDMA phones. If you do need helpl with GSM phones im sure i can do something.

I hate my Verizon razor. It can’t due anything my friends Sprint Razor can do.

verizon is pretty shitty in general. The only reason i am still under their service is cuz i dont wanna pay my own cell bill. After my contract ends (Jun 2008) I may hop on that sidekick tho

So if Im going from T-mobile GSM sim card, it wont work for an unlocked Q?

There is no slot to put the GSM card in, thats the thing. CDMA are linked with the phone, and the codes can only be swapped with each other.

Yes i have the experience in Motorola q ,you can make your mobile unlocked from network lock from the online vendor Unlocking4u.com .To get the service you need to submit your country name,currently locked network name and IMEI number.
