Where you at fuckboi

I’m right where I’ve always been. Discussing the SF canon.

Where you at? Getting your June release in July announced a handful of days before the end of the month? That come with lube or is that paid DLC?

Did you buy Umbrella Corps too? Get the Capcom spit-roast going on both ends?

Rage quitting still not fixed.

Lobbies still broken.

8 frames. (Oh wait…that was intentional…no wait, it wasn’t…no wait…please understand…)

Can’t help but notice you didn’t refute my points. They announced a June release date (which is actually occurring in July) a handful of days before the end of the month after just promising they would work on improving communication.

And they release Umbrella Corps…a pre-alpha piece of garbage that wouldn’t qualify as a decent free to play let alone a bargain-priced product. And this happened after Capcom JUST spoke about giving games more development time so they’d stop releasing…y’know…half finished shit.

Or did those two things not just actually happen? Capcom hit your prostate so hard you forgot those events?

Does’nt make much sense call out delays, because delays or not at this point we’re getting stuff BEFORE original schedule

Rog (or whatever 4th season1 char) was supposed to be July material (likely end of july)

We’re getting at that point in July 1

Sorry
Are we discussing umbrella corps here?
I’m enjoying the game and hyped af for Friday while you’re giving enough salt to give the entire srk forum their lifetime required intake

Lmfao What kind of mental gymnastics does it take to say, entirely straight faced, that we’re getting Rog EARLY from Capcom BECAUSE he was supposed to come out in July…and he’s coming out in July. I mean…seriously?

This is why people can’t take a lot of the BLIND Capcom defense (because some defense is warranted) seriously.

I’m discussing Capcom. Did you perhaps miss that? I can separate my hype for SF (and believe me I am hype for Urien…check the avatar) and still absolutely be critical of Capcom as a company.

Enjoying a game does not make it or its parent company flawless or immune to criticism.

I want to play Urien…I don’t want to deal with broken ass lobbies, constant punitive rage quits and input delay. These things still factually exist and undermine my SFV experience. Calling it out is valid. It hurts my hype…badly.

Furthermore Capcom seems to STILL be doing the sort of shit they just said they were working on. Calling that out is valid.

I’m not paid to defend capcom, irrational defend them and often i talk shit about them

Just stating facts

Original schedule

4th was going to arrive somewhere between July 1 and July 31

http://michelzbinden.com/images/cal-en/me/july-2016-calendar-white-d.jpg

We’re getting it Juli 1

There’s no deny that we lost (tbh did’nt care, least hype char of the season for me) an Ibuki month, but we’re getting Rog if not technically in advance, in the very first schedule day we can get it

So we are, in fact, only actually getting Rog on time. I mean you are actively posting something here that disproves what you just said.

May = Ibuki

We did not get her in June.

We were told she would be released in the June story update.

The June story update was supposed to be released in…June.

July 1st is not June. In the real business world, that is called ā€˜late’.

And you said this…

In reference to Balrog…

How is getting Balrog, the July release, in July getting anything ā€œbeforeā€ the original schedule?

Out of 3 components of this update, literally ONE of them is on-time (Balrog). The other two are late. One of them is late for the second time.

That is reality.

Add CEO grandfinals on top of that too.

Lol calling out that 1st July is’nt 30 June is just actively try to miss the pratical point

It’s ok, keep the crusade

Personally as dude that from S1 was waiting mostly Rog and Urien, i like that friday will be able to play Rog when was expeting to have to wait until 31July

I’m more psyched about being able to play Urien (even in any small amount) on July 1st.

Late is late, however.

Now, if Capcom had had good communication and had been delivering on time…would I be more forgiving of July 1st as ā€œJuneā€ā€¦yeah maybe. In fact, almost certainly…but that is NOT the case.

Hell, I could point out that ā€œMayā€ and ā€œJuneā€ releases that come as late as possible in those months functionally ā€œmiss the pointā€ of their release date window as well…but I still gave the benefit of the doubt to let them release as late as possible. I just wanted a, y’know, heads up regarding specificity of the release date. Saying on 6/25 that ā€œHey the release date in June is going to be very late. In fact…it’s in Julyā€ the response is ā€œNo shit. Great communicationā€

I work on a schedule. On appointments. I’ve managed to the same thing. When someone is told ā€œYour shift starts at 8ā€ and they show up at 8:05, they are not performing properly. When a June update comes out on July 1st…it’s the same thing.

As for a Crusade…if that’s what you want to call keeping a company honest to what they say and calling out when shit is still absolutely broken…sure, I’ll keep doing that.

As for me i will just enjoy Rog on July 1st instead somewhere 1-31 as scheduled

Hopefully Juri will be late > you crusaders will talk internet shit > they feel pushed again and give me Urien on Sept 1st instead somewhere 1-30

Under a very egoistical pov i will be ok with that too

They are creators, they’re making art. Sometimes it takes longer than you expect and delays happen. Oh no, it came out a day late. Who gives a shit lol.

If anything we do gets us Urien earlier…truly it we are doing God’s work. On this…we clearly absolutely agree.

What are they going to complain about after everyone is released and season 1 patches are out?

The June, update is taking the game where it needs to go. Cast feels somewhat more full and complete. DLC will be available, all in all this is a good thing.

What’s happening July 1st? cus I just got kicked out of the same lobby I’ve been in for the past hour for the 4th time mid match and it’s getting harder to go back and wait in the back of the line for one of the only two lobbies that’s ps4 only… I thought the host has been kicking me the first couple times but then I realized its this pos game and how pos I feel for playing it.

I’m actually giving this game a chance by at least trying to understand how I can become a better player by changing my choices and thought process. I’m giving it a better chance than the no chance I gave with sf4, maybe that’s why I’m angrier… Because I don’t want this game to fail, I actually want it to be good.

I’m not hype that it’s functionality seems to be held together by scotch tape.

Why do you play PS4 only lobby tho? Are you that paranoid about the 8 frame ā€œfixā€ they have on PC? 90% of people don’t even bother doing it for sure, I know I don’t. Low level players don’t care/ might not even know about it, high level players don’t do it because it’s false training for tournaments.

Ok, after playing like 70 hours, I’m desperately trying to like this game but I can’t. It’s fine to like the game, but I simply can’t, and here are my two cents.

The fact that they basically completely removed the ability to whiffpunish in neutral by making all normals except fierce/roundhouses really stubby is not doing it for me (the input lag doesn’t help). If my opponent whiffs a low forward I want to be able to punish that with for example a low forward of my own into fireball/knockdown, whatever. Instead I helplessly watch as my foot goes through my opponents character since the hitbox on alot of normals mysteriously ends before the end of the arm/leg.

The fact that jabs are the go to anti-air for alot of characters, and that they often give a sideswitch 50/50 is really annoying and another thing I dislike.

The fact that they removed the ability to have your own style with a character, now every character basically has the same game plan. Get in, frametrap, ride the momentum. There are essentially no zoners, even Dhalsim has to go on the offensive.

And the thing I dislike most is the oversimplified combo system. Execution should be a factor in fighting games. I should have to calculate whether I trust myself enough to do that hard combo and finish out the round, or if I want to go the safe route and do the easy bnb that doesn’t net me quite as much damage / positioning. You should be able to tell a new player from an experienced one by their punishes and their utilisation of combos (and footsies). It also creates hype while watching matches, now every match looks the same since everyone can do every combo after five minutes in training mode. It also removes any possibility to be creative and discover new things. Every character is essentially fully discovered after a week.

The talk about footsies being more prevalent and important in SFV is not true. In IV there were much more footsies going on, more interesting situations in neutral, and more ways to play the game than there is now.
