Anyone else here a lag quitter?

We’ve all started matches only to find that despite the rooms ping, the lag is pretty bad. Sometimes it might not be so easily discerned, but after one botched combo or AA, it becomes apparant. It might take as long a round and change to figure this out. What do you do in a situation like this? I’m not ashamed to say I lag quit. Don’t message my opponent either, usually to eager to move onto the next match.

I don’t because I don’t like dropping in general, but I can see why many people do.

If its a player match and its laggy, I’ll usually play 1 or 2 games before leaving, theres just no point playing a laggy match cos the normal game mechanics break down plus the frame skipping makes the game frustrating

If I’m in a really good mood, I’ll stay, unless my opponent is someone that has a solid tick throw game. As a charge character, laggy inputs + roll back = not fun times. If I’m in a bad mood, I feel like I shouldn’t have to put up with lag considering I can find another opponent easily. If the lag is really bad, it’s really not worth either your or your opponent’s time. As for the message, I wouldn’t bother, especially if you’re losing. Chances are you’ll get a response either insulting your intelligence, comparing you to excrement, questioning your sexuality, or any combination of the three.

I only quit on akuma’s who know how/and use the air hado/RD trap.

Akuma shouldn’t get free super/damage for making me block an air hado.

. . . Or if I’m facing jizzon who’s over in japan. . . 300 ping FTL! Wish I could have fought you though, I need chun practice.

Depends how bad the lag and who I’m playing but I do it quite often and never really thought of it as a bad thing. If it’s someone I know or is quite good then I accept a little bit of lag.

Lol that’s so true.

I just leave, it’s not worth it for me. I often send a message if it’s ranked. I was playing a really good player from Japan a few days ago but it was soooo frustrating that the roll back put me in positions to be easily thrown or punished when I was trying to punish a whiffed dragon punch or flash kick.

I’ll drop from a player room because of lag. I will even drop at the begining of a player match. But I would never drop from a ranked game.

I usually explain why to the person, most are cool with it. The only people that seem to have a problem with it are the ones who rely on lag in the game to give them an edge.

In my opinion it’s nothing to be ashamed of as long as you aren’t a dick about it.

Pretty much the same here. I never even drop halfway through a player match. I always finish the match out and then try to drop on the lobby screen, but if the opponent mashes the button to start the next match I will drop as soon as that match starts.

I’m one of those never droppers.

If I see lag at the beginning of the match, I will leave.
If it’s just at the end of the match, I will stay until it’s over.
In my opinion, there’s no reason to play matches with lag.

I always just walk forward and let them KO me if the match is laggy. Dropping risks going into glitch mode and having to reset the game.

I usually just ring myself out and let the other guy have the win.

I’d rep you if I was a premium member.
