Just wondering cause I was actually able to do it on a PS2 control but I only did it twice and it took me about 25 to 40 tries before I got both but hey I really dont give a shit cause I was actually able to pull a S720 for the first fucking time, now all I need is to learn this on arcade and from all the tachi threads I read I still dont know what method is best so I tried to combine all into one Ill try next time I go to the arcade, if anyone can do a tachi 4 out 5 times each time they play Hugo on arcade please tell me your exact method on doing this.
Heres all methods combined into one
Spin the stick insanely fast to get into a super jump stun, but also do not do the full 720 just do a 540 (6321478963214) and try to spin the stick in a small circle, and I dont think ive read anyone mention this but im also gonna try negative edge.
I have a lil’ question on the 720/360 ok with Zangief u can do :hcb: :ub: and get a Pile driver but with Hugo it seems u have to :hcb: :ub: :u: to get it out so exactly how is a standing one all that possible. cause u can do it during a jump or jump and mess it up. However, I’m no expert on piledriver motions so feel free to correct me.
you go into the piledriver before you leave the ground G-product, just like superjumpcancelling, you have to do it so fast that you’re still on the ground, super comes out
I never understood the tachi gigas stuff that you ppl talked about but after visiting this site last night for the first time in weeks and finally realizing what 6321478963214 means, I tried it at the arcade today. And guess what, it worked! It’s not hard either. And I never had to spin the stick in a smaller circle or whatever!
One thing I want to know is, does your stick has to be in neutral position before you do 6321478963214 + p? Or can you walk from left to right and then just do 321478963214 + p?
Doesnt matter, so long as you do the motion correctly. Infact, there are times you will be advancing forward anyhows since tachi can be used as a tick throw.
Can anyone let me know what are some of the newer Hugo vids with ysb & hayao in them? I don’t mind d/ling a big 500mb file for 3 mins of hugo actually if I have to. Thanks.
P.S. I haven’t d/led any hugo vids since the sbo2 qualifier with that purple hugo who went 6-0.
Wait wait you were actually able to do it, gawd damnit another beats me to it, I tried that method for at least an hour at the arcade and I couldnt get it, I either threw out a moonsault press or a GPB, there were times when I felt I was close but still nothing. How loose does the arcade stick have to be cause I was spinning that bitch fast.
Actually it’s a lot harder than I thought. First day I tried it, it worked great (50%+). Then the 2nd and 3rd day I could only get around 15-20% or so of my attempts. One thing I noticed is that it does not seem to work if I’m walking towards right and just do 321478963214 + p. I always need to move the stick to neutral or left or whatever then do 6321478963214 + p.
Shirube 2 that was ripped and released about a week ago (although not hosted anymore) had awesome YSB footage. YSB had no life and a Remy player was trying to chip him with like a barrage of 10 booms/EX booms and he parries all of it, jumps in parries a high boom and a standing strong to neutral grab and get owned.
