Thread title. Are there any videos out there showing how peoples’ hands look when rom-ing? I understand the concept behind the ROM, but it might be easier to learn how to do if you could actually see a video of someone’s hands as they’re doing the ROM.
haha, i remember seeine one a long long time ago. honestly from what i’ve seen, a lot of people do theirs differently. some people slide, some people claw, some people claw using different hand positions (ie. two fingers on one button, other people may use those two fingers on the other button)
as long as you understand the concept, i would say just practice and see whats more comfortable

if you give me a joystick, then i’ll do one. i had one of myself doing a few different variations… the slide method, the claw method, my weird method, and doing it on pad. IF YOU WANT… I can try to get something of me doing it on pad.

no, but I CAN use a DDR pad and go

That’s about the best I can do with my feet. 
In anime club, freshman year of college, I won a CvS2 tournie, that required the players to use unorthodox controllers, ranging from DDR pads, the fishing rod, and the PS1 RPG controller with converter. The kid with the fishing rod was able to do RC sometimes… I was able to cancel shit with ken… and then i started playing MvC2 with DDR pad and learned stuff.
Does any one know how to get around team santhrax using MSS magneto first? Cammando is a bitch.

my config had X and O as LP and HP
/\ and [] were LK and HK
I go… [], DN, UP, /, /, /+O, LE, DN, RT, then jump on /\ and O at the same time… pause slightly, with a foot on down… then, put the other foot on RT, and slide down to both kicks.
then from there, i assume you can figure the rest out.

yeah. put left foot on down, right foot on right, and then slide around clockwise to put your left foot on square. i don’t have a ddr pad anymore.

i dont think videos of people ROMing will help at all really unless you slide or have some weird way of doing it. anybody who claws will just look like they’re fingers are covering lk, lp, hp with a wiggling hand.
nobodys hands are the same so its really about doing it until your fingers find the most comfortable, natural, yet effective way to do it.
i tried watching peoples hands before and it never really helped. its just about hittin up the trainin mode.
i had made an offer to teach people random shit at EVO World, but nobody approached me about it.
I’ll do the same if anybody’s going to NEC. if you want to bring a camera and record my hands doing the ROM, that’s fine as well.
lol yeah, I beat my brother too many time in MvC2 with a redoctane pad…which by the way is crap!
ROM isn’t that hard to learn is it?
IMHO… it’s the easiest infinite to learn in terms of setup + executing it. overall easiest to do is ironman, but i think his setups are much harder. magneto has very few difficult setups that need to be learned. you have an easy tri jump setup, an easy launcher setup, and an easy OTG setup. ther’es not much more “easy” that you can ask for.
and if you want the timing… serioulsy… no joking…

low kick x 2 pause, air dash and immediately low kick with down held, and then small pause to the next low kick. the later you do the last kick the better, as you have more time, and they drop lower (if it’s sentinel, you don’t want them to drop lower)
yea it doesnt take a rocket scientist to understand the concept. the timing has been discussed to death and there are billions of videos out there of gameplay with the ROM. you just need to practice excecution. if you can do one or two reps, then you know the feeling. you just need to duplicate it over and over and over the EXACT same way
