Any reason why my Hori Fighting Stick 3 (ps3) won't work on my PC(windows 7)?

i see people always saying its plug and play, and while it is recognised by my pc as being plugged in, no button presses or stick movewments are registered.

This has been pissing me off no end for a year now, I’m pretty much ready to just throw it in the bin (as I no longer have a ps3).

I tried that to no avail, am on W7 64bit.

And windows REALLY hates me trying to use drivers. Its convinced its 4 year old non working broken drivers are the perfect ones.
