I finally got it to work, but there’s nobody hangin in lobby 5. Its got its own fair share of glitches, but it’s a fair substitute to GGPO for 3s. I’ve had a couple games against a couple <100 pingers and I gotta say I’m fairly impressed. I googled plenty of online communities that have brought up ArcLive so I know there have to be other ArcLive users out there.
I tried but nobody was there often enough.
Nothing but Chinamen on there. Good luck trying to play with 500 Ping.
Well, I’m on right now in lobby 5 as ray_lee… come get some!
Nothing makes you miss GGPO more than having to use subpar programs. Supercade is driving me crazy with it’s freezing and the lack of North American players in A2, A3.
redownloaded this out of boredom since psn has been down for eons. still can’t see the appeal. you can’t even minimize the damn window. and when so few people aren’t in asia you can’t afford to not know the pings, but they’re never shown.
logining … /
I don’t know what’s wrong with you Americans to keep avoiding to use Arclive? Because GGPO is better? Sorry Arclive don’t need to forward port or don’t have the message “Retrieving Data…”. We Asians use Arclive all the time because it’s extremely easy to use and 3rd Strike in Arclive also run smoother than GGPO with better netcode (it can host a lobby with over 2000 players in KoF 98).
Eventhubs also recommended Arclive few months ago if you hadn’t known:
Arcade Live, classic game emulator : News : EventHubs.com
If you still got patience with GGPO, just stick with that. We keep playing everyday with no problems while you keep crying “oh GGPO is down again”, that’s your choice .
so that’s why idiots from Asia are attacking GGPO? if ArcLive was so good, more people would use it, but it’s not. the interface is horrible to say the least (typical cluttered asian design).
keep your cheap GGPO clone for yourselves.
nobody’s avoiding it. either people haven’t heard of it or they’re trying it and deciding that it’s not good.
btw does “loc” mean location/country?
Arclive is okay, but GGPO is back. And from what I saw, there weren’t that many people actually playing 3s on it.
