Is it worth purchasing? is there frame data? good combos and not just the basic crap?
My KE Guide shipped from Amazon yesterday. I’ll post here when I get it.

When you got the guide can you check for the Classic secret characters?

I have the guide. I have to say it wasnt worth the money for the kollectors. Some of the combos arent correct and they dont give damage % on whats there, which is a BIG deal for me. I am formulating better combos than whats in the guide. Also the fatalities listed dont tell what range they need to be done from. No disrespect to the guys who worked on it, but I just cant suggest it.
I don’t think frame data is as important in Mortal Kombat as it is in street fighter.
Dunno about you, but I’d rather have frame data in the strategy guide than day one tier lists. :rolleyes:
They explained that damage and frame data were intentionally omitted because of the nature of game patches and that if they printed it the guide would be rendered obsolete. I suppose that’s a somewhat legitimate concern but if that’s the case then those same patches could render the listed combos themselves inaccurate. So where do you draw the line?
I’d probably much rather have all of the info as it was at the time with a warning that everything is subject to change based on subsequent patches. That combined with patch notes from NRS would be perfectly sufficient.
It’s alright, but it isn’t as good as the Mahvel Bible. For some characters the combos included are useful, and for a lot they’re decent jumping off points, but there’s a lot of mistakes, oh and in the KE guide Lui Kang’s entire combo section is wrong and replaced with Kano’s which is kind of a bit annoying if you want to know any of his combos.

You are my hero lol. I said it a few days ago, this guide is ass. Outside of the krypt unlockables its USELESS. Even the combos listed in it are TOTALLY WRONG. I can almost forgive them leaving out damages but when you straight up misinform, theres a problem. It also doesnt have ALL the game information in it…theres ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about the secret fights from what ive seen or anything on babalities. The guide is garbage. STAY AWAY PLEASE!!!
I think NRS (or WB?) wouldn’t let them print all the secrets.

Only thing I like about the guide (Kollectors edition) is the cardsheet with the moves printed on them. Although there were some mistakes I found on it, like Mileena’s roll having the wrong command.
You’ve won teh interwebs with this one mate. Was so bloody entertaining I had to watch the whole thing and rewatch your pyrotechnics at the end. I guess reselling on ebay wasn’t worth a fraction of the 15quid?
