I’ve been having a lot of trouble with the psn version of this game and it’s driving me nuts.
For those that don’t know, the problem I’m talking about is when you or the other player gets dropped out of the match right after the vs screen after picking your characters. This shit happens to me A LOT… With some people it never happens at all, some it works when it wants to and with others it never works at all.
I seriously don’t know if it’s random or some other shit but I’ve tried everything I know to get this shit working correctly. I’ll just give an example on what I went through trying to play someone on my friends list the other day.

I was connected through hard wire and invited my friend and we couldn’t connect like 5 times in a row. After that I changed my ps3 to the dmz host, restarted my ps3 and tried again, still no good. (nat type 2)

It tried with the ps3 built in wireless with 100% connection also set to dmz and still no good. (nat type 2)

I then switched to a direct connect on the modem and actually connected with him and played 3 games in a row but after the 3rd one it stopped fucking working again and we couldn’t connect at all anymore. (nat type 1)
I seriously don’t know why the fuck this game has so many damn bugs and connection issues but whatever. I just want to play with the people on my friends list without waiting in long lines to get booted and only being able to connect to some of my list. Even in random rooms I run into a ton of problems and it’s just completely random who I can connect to.
I also have this game on xbox live and my experience is 10 time better with the connection problems and shit. I can play everyone with maybe a random disc here and there. The thing is I have a shitty ass japanese style doa hori stick that moves all over the place. Onps3 I got it hooked up to a cab with an hd screen. This shit is awesome for when I have people over playing but when I want my online fix I have to use the 360 version because of all the problems with ps3. I actually sat online for 2 fucking hours the other night and played like 3 games total. Even on GGPO I don’t get these problems at all.
Anyway if anyone knows any type of fix that I haven’t tried please let me know.
Btw I also turned off the built in firewall in my router (linksys wrt54g). Every setting I tried had the firewall off.
