I mean, will it be very difficult for capcom to upgrade the game and make a port for ps4?
No, it shouldn’t be difficult for Capcom to at least port the PC version of the game over to PS4 at all, nor should it take them very long to do so.
All they would have to do, is the button configurations & making sure that online multiplayer for PS4 goes smooth. Why they haven’t done so yet is beyond me.
^This guy is a genius
No way…just make sf5 already.
I gave up all hope on SF4 coming to PS4, and decided to get the PC version. I thought it was going to be ported when Mad Catz made sticks for PS4/XBO and had Ultra art on them.
Would it be profitable to Capcom to spend money and development time porting a last gen game to a next gen system? I think that is the better question to ask, and I have to imagine the answer would be no.
I’d rather that they not split the playerbase even more than it is currently.
There are already more than 10 million of PS4 and likely 15 after Christmas, Capcom is going to bring it there, no doubt
Also is not that it will meet too many rivals, peoples into FG will get it and GGxrd
Tekken 7 is another but is still at begin, and TKvsSF is probably even more far away. And both may be even more slowed by the fact that Harada is working on Pokken for Nintendo
And, as personal opinion, that’s why they still did’nt played the easy money$ Alex/Karin/Urien/R.Mika card… knowing that they’re probably the still missing characters that will attract more players, they keep them for the real final version
SF5 is still far away
As much i will like it i’m not too optimist about Darkstalkers (or Rival School)
They have no more Marvel option
Another update will be cheap and get some more money
Actually a “hyper SF4” at good price (30? Whatever let’s be real, for new stuff i will be happy even to spend 60 again) with new characters, stages, mechanics and modes will be something that will push me closer to buy a PS4 wich as now is in generic “things to do in future” at least until Bloodborne… too much hollywood wannabe, dudebro and indie stuff for me now, i’m more likely going to get a WiiU waiting for the moment to get a PS4
Also

But Capcom doesn’t have the money to make SF V at the moment.
Did you guys totally forget about USFIV being on PS Now
Not a good option though, because of one word: Lag
I totally agree with this.
Please, just stop.
I think that they’re talking about a actual PS4 version, not the PS3 version through streaming.
Isn’t that the truth, though? Why else do you think that they’re suing Koei-Tecmo over something ridiculous, even though Capcom are the ones who copied Koei-Tecmo’s game “Samurai Warriors” with “Sengoku Basara?”
Well, the OP was asking if there is any chances to play it on PS4. Granted, he’s asking for a port , but it’s an option (a shitty one at that).
I decide to get more information on that case and people are saying Capcom doesn’t have a case. The whole point of a lawsuit is you got to have a case and how the hell are they going to get money if they got nothing on tecmo?
Wasnt SF4 made with the CryEngine. That software lets you publish cross platform with one click. My guess is Capcom is trying to make people pay twice for the same game. If they released for next gen at the same time. Most people would have just gotten the next gen version. But now people will have to buy 2 versions of the game.
Cry Engine because all people do is cry about thi… Waiting for player…
No.
Been curious about this myself, since the PS4/Xbox One sticks are releasing soon. I would like to imagine there would be some type of visual update.
I’m still really confused about all the next gen Street Fighter teasing from Capcom. PS4 launch trailer prominently featuring Ryu, Hadouken Cabs viral campaign and Ono’s Blanka/PS4 controller pic…
All of that shit happened within a relatively short span of time, maybe a few months. Normally that means impending announcements but… nothing. Absolutely nothing came of it.
Yeah, there will be a new version of Street Fighter IV for next generation consoles.
New consoles are often the time to bring up new (or old) franchises, like Microsoft did with Killer Instinct, so maybe we will get a surprise.
But SF4 has been around for way too long and really is the main fighting game of the moment, so maybe they will use it to promote Psnow services, but in the distance the street fighter franchise will have to be released on the new console generation. They are just waiting to avoid interfering with USF4 ps3/xbox360 sales.
Anyways, since the ps3/xbox360 generation didn’t have a new Guilty Gear game, but Blazblue. I always expect to be disapointed in new systems.
i’m scared with how SFV would turn out after SF4 and now Ultra. i’m not too optimistic about it so i’d rather just see if they can fix Ultra on PC and if they want to port it to next gen then it would give me another reason to actually buy a PS4 other than GGXrd.
