I’ve been wanting to know for a while now. The only one I know of is Witchblade.
Quick google search brought me here http://www.animevice.com/mother/22-409/characters/
Tits brought me here.

If she isn’t the main character in a show as stupid as Queens Blade then I don’t know. Hell I didn’t even check the other pages lol. Those things are retarded, why is this in a kids show?
Yes that site, that I’ve seen before, does list characters who are mothers. However, it lists all of them, even those who are not the main character. This makes it hard for me, especially if I’ve never seen the series.
Bitter Virgin.
Does Sazae-san count?
I’ve quickly read a little description of Bitter Virgin and I’m very interested. Thanks, I’ll check it out.
Yeah yes. As long as it is a manga or anime in some form of which the main character(s) is a mother, then it is fine
I was gonna tell you to calm down but then I realized that was the name of a comic
Actually, I have found another anime/manga of which 1 of the main characters is a mother. It is Okami Kodomo No Ame To Yuki or Wolf Children Ame and Yuki. I totally need to see this movie for sure.
I’ve read the entire Bitter Virgin manga today, and it really hit me in the heart. I felt really sad for what happened to Aikawa-san. The ending is left open about Aikawa-san and Suwa-san’s future. After having read it, I can say that I’d totally recommend Bitter Virgin.
That’s really fucking great, no really, but next time just ask this in the anime thread instead of making one just for your question sir. That’s why it’s there, plus most of those guys are total experts that spend their days “reading” all kinds of stuff with a little help from their pal Jergens.
Hmmm Eureka from Eureka Seven counts right?
Yes it does. I haven’t finished Eureka 7, but I have read that Eureka does become a mother in a later story arc (or in this case, series).
I guess I should be sorry for making this thread (why are you posting if it bothers you?), but I think posting in that general anime thread won’t get me anywhere. The question of this thread was very specific, so I made this thread. It is easier that way, as I (and anyone else that is interested) will easily find out what anime/manga there are out there that have a mother as a main character in some point of the story.
That’s why it’s an anime thread filled with guys that talk about anime. The first two people to reply to this thread are regular posters but you would know that if you went in there you scaredy cat. You afraid that @Kromo is gonna convert you into some sort of incest manga loving weirdo. Let me let you in on a little secret.
Your already there…
Well I do read some of “those” manga, but that is beside the point. It just feels redundant to me for a General Anime. It would be like I made a General Fighting Game thread, it be too broad and tough to find what ya want.
Hey, lots of the people who I force to read and love incest manga are perfectly normal.
For the record: Incest really isn’t my favorite.
But, when we get down to the nitty gritty… sister on sister >dark skinned cousin from Okinawa >Brother and sister > mother son.
You are forgetting that SRK GD is mad unhelpful.
On topic: Probably very few, unless you count artificial impregnation and weird metaphorical pregnancy.
Evangelion maybe?
I’m pretty sure most psychic/magical girls get their powers from artificial insemination and then the subsequent womb robbing.
I’d look into that.
This is the only one I can think of is Michiko to Hatchin.
i’ve never understood why there are multiple threads regarding anime
Because it’s an extremely popular medium.

I don’t understand why there are multiple threads regarding fighting games. lol
I’ve found another series that has a character or 2 that is a mother, Deep Love. There are 5 stories so far: Ayu no Monogatari, Reina no Unmei, Host, Pao no Monogatari, and Real.
Because it isn’t a kids show, it is aimed at dudes that like fanservice (particularly breasts)… at times to a disturbing degree.
