Anti-Airs?

So, other than her poopy pokes, her other weakness, is her anti-air.

What do you guys use?

You can use st. lp but it’s a really really bad option because it has bad range, and her hurtbox of it sucks. And it’s like … 2 frame start-up, and like 2 or 3 frames active. Timing is too strict, and people beat it all the time.

st. mp is okay I guess, but the spacing of it leaves it so you can’t really combo after it.

The best anti-air I’ve found is her c. mk. It sounds weird, but her body is basically on the ground making it nearly impossible to hit her. Kinda like Ryu’s c. mk. So I’ve been using that, but to be honest, it’s not that reliable.

Are there any reliable anti-airs that she has other than those?

I like f+lk as an AA, even though it sometimes trades you can combo off it for a good chunk of damage, and it can catch people jumping over you. Also at the right range st.hk can be effective.

An early f+:lk: is good

st.:lp: is a good AA but it only has 2 active frames which means you really have to be on point with it or else you will eat a jumpin combo.

cr.:mk: is good to make majority of jumpins whiff or sometimes you can even hit them on landing which you can buffer super from it. But some jumpins will hit deep so be wary of the matchup.

st.:mp: and cr.:mp: works in some ranges and could be matchup specific

EX Falling Rain is always a guaranteed AA, the normal version isn’t that good, you have to do it really early to catch them.

Note, all her anti-airs are dash cancellable, so you can meaty them while they land.

And ideally, you wanna trip guard them with c.MK into Upkicks for full combos.

f+lk is a good Anti air
st.lp is a Decent Anti-air

st.hk is a Great anti-air imo

can i just say i love f+lk as an anti air
but i hate getting qcf+lk as an anti air because of my laziness :frowning:

hmm may have to try out s.hk now

can’t believe nobody has mentioned st.mk. I’ve found great use out of it.
