Another one
Did another digital painting, but this time I attempted to add some scenery. I am satisfied with it but feel it could be better. As always critiques and comments are welcomed. Enjoy.

However I do believe the bg(especially the mountains) can use a bit of atmospheric perspective. Just make it a bit out of focus and lighter in color.
sorry, took a while to get back to this thread… been swamped with work 
things I really like abt this pic:
- Detail… lots of detail. Folds of cloth, rock surfaces, etc. Looks nice.
- pretty good use of values. Raven-haired bathing beauty pretty much stands out
- nice handling of water ripples and clothing refracted underwater.
things I think could be improved on:
- the tree in the foreground doesn’t really help the composition, mainly because it just blocks out a triangle of space. Perhaps if you drew the lower part of the tree with roots and all. Might make a more interesting foreground object.
- the mountains look a bit too “in focus…” kinda like what Dreaded Fist mentioned.

Looking pretty nice man. What i see that you could do is darken the tree in the foreground. It’s value is competing with her red dress making it seem like there is no air between the two. Same with the mountains and rocks in the bg. They should go a bit lighter to make it lay back there.

Yeah yall are right. I got into putting so much detail, I didnt even think about blurring the background or taking it out focus. I feel there is not enough air between the objects as well. This painting definitely needs a better dose of atmospheric perspective. Thanks for the comments everyone. I will keep all this in mind when I work on my piece.
I’m a huge fanna your work dood, but the pink throws me offa bit. It makes it looks like a somewaht highlight, but then it looks like it’s there JUST to be there, you know? I dunno, I’m lookin at it from a weak anime perspective.
